Unless we play finals then I cant see Grimes playing AFL before the end of the season.

I disagree.

If he's fit to play, he plays.

He'll have to go through the VFL this week, maybe next but I'll def play him rd22 against norf.

Players want to play. If he's fit, i don't see the point of cotton.

One step at a time.

Hurdle no.1 - Passing the Test.

What is the difference with 3 weeks to go, between - The Season and indefinite?

I think when they know exactly what the problem is they can put a time on it, assume they are still trying to correctly diagnose Gys and Spence

I've heard that Gysberts has a bulging disc in his spine

What does that mean to his future career as an AFL footballer. How bad is a bulging disc in the spine?

It is excruciatingly painful. His/their (Spencer also has same problem) AFL career/s would not be jeopardised just managed in a different way.

cant see Grimes being risked by being rushed . A return to VFL and then a soid preseason prior to 2011 surely

IMO a week or two @ Casey then changeover with Bail who can play VFL finals this year. That would be poetic.

Agree. Melbourne are historically cautious with their players' injuries etc.

Grimes to play VFL Seniors this week.

[Casey play Northern Bullants who have Brock McLean back from injury playing for them]

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
