My 3 word player analysis V The FullHogs

Scully had 10 turnovers. He was clean with his hands and worked really hard but wasn't BOG due to his turnovers. Really needs to cut that 40 meter lob pass to a pack out of his game...

If Scully wasn't the BOG then I'm not a Demons Fan.

I read all the papers, watched all the reports, saw his game with my own eyes.

Not BOG? You must be kidding.

The term "Country Mile" even comes to mind.

When it comes to Brownlow Votes even Friday nights umpires will get it right.

Giansircusa will get the 3 in the winning side. I'm not denying he was great but 10 turnovers is pretty ugly. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

When the result is tight it is quite possible that the best player in the losing side could be given 3 votes. Scully could be in line for 3 votes.

Your nit picking of his performance in the conditions completely ignores his impact on the game.

well..The Age for one had him as the best on ground

footballer of the year

Giansiracusa didnt get a look in !!

team of the week rnd 7

Matt Burgan has Scully starting in the middle.. and Giansiracusa on the bench.

seems to be a pattern here ;)

Both coaches gave Scully best on ground.

And Grimes got 4 votes for equal third best on ground, well well well! How ill-disciplined he must have been.

Wasteful too.

But geez I love him. General written all over him.

Everyone is bagging Grimes' disposal and decision making. Firstly yes he did make mistakes i grant you that but you would be ignorant not to think the weather played a factor. I have never seen so many dropped marks (esp chest marks), out on the fulls and turnovers in a match, and you have to remember we were playing the highly skillful WB. Plus Grimes's ball use and decision making has been superb all year. So do not judge to quickly, he will probs destroy WC.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
