Frawley to Hahn

Garland to Johnson (if he plays, if not probably Hill)

MacDonald to Murphy

Rivers to FF, I'm dreaming I know!

I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Murphy gets dropped this week. He's been well below par by his standards.

Johnson has been ruled out, so think Murphy will get a repreive for that reason

Chip has better pace than Warnock, and I think they both lads are similar in strength.

Chip for me, but I can't help thinking Bailey will got with Warnock to start with.

Who for Murphy? Could try Garland perhaps.

Frawley has the strength & leg speed to go with Bazza. Frawls also needs the experience of playing these big boys to get further belief for himself. The time is Nigh for the Chipper to take these roles. If Bazza plays deep then maybe Warnock can take him, but further out I'd have The Chip.

I completely agree. Your username belies itself.;)

Interesting thought. Garland is deceptively quick, that may be a very interesting match up.

Johnson is not playing.

Nearly pretty much how i'd start.

Warnock to Hall. Frawley to Hahn. Garland to Murphy.

Don't know where Rivers fits in there (again). He didn't strengthen our backline and providing rebound with precision isn't his strength and we lost a midfield runner last week.

Start Warnock on him but if Hall starts to get on top then test Frawley on him. We can also possibly use Rivers on him aswell even though Warnock and Frawley are better options. Our Midfield will determine whether Hall plays well.

Given Rivers is still in the team don't be surprised if we play a loose man in defence (i.e. Rivers) who will help Warnock/Frawley out. I can't really see any other role for Rivers against the Dogs.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
