'Not the results i was lookin 4, still a bit hard to swallow.Already lookin forward to putting on the red n blue in 2011! thanks for the msg!'

Does that suffice for all the doomsayers saying that we are

going to loose Petterd good to see the boy is optimistic despite horrible news

SEN quoted a Ricky Petterd 'Twitter' that said "Already looking forward to wearing the red and blue next season".

Here's hoping!

lets hope he means it and isnt just saying it

hope he is wearing the red and blue next year, if not we all need to respect his decision :)

Great news! It is not as good as him signing the contract, but to state his intention of wanting to play on for MFC is fantastic! He will be a key player for the club for many seasons to come.

I don't think GC17 will have Miller in their sites unless he improves dramatically. There are a lot of quality players in other clubs they can go after, and to pay over the odds for a struggling forward would be foolish.

Fingers crossed Ricky means it, makes a full recovery and we do see him next year. I'm looking forward to our round 1 2011 forward line reading:

HF: Sylvia, Bate, Petterd

FF: Green, Jurrah, Wonna

Maybe even throw Watts in there in place of Green?????

Anybody seen Gold Coast's colours, Red, Blue (& Gold).....

But seriously, does sound like a good sign.

Petterd says he is looking forward to pulling on the red and blue in 2011. Plenty of posts about referencing that twitter.

Maybe Miller, though. GC have money, but not a limitless supply. They can't pay them all a million each. Miller would be reasonably cheap. 128 games, leadership group, 27yo in a team full of younguns (all these 17yos they have been hoarding plus half the 2010 draft picks), can be off the list reasonably quickly is he doesnt pan out. And local is good - one less reason for them to want to go if he does pan out.

And I've got no doubt the GC17 officials would love to see Pia around the new club. That's the only reason why I'd miss Miller if he did leave! hehe.

Of course he's going to say something like that, he's hardly going to post - "Well no more work for me this year, looking forward to the big cash injection from GC next year and wearing whatever colours they wind up with!!".

That said, I believe Ricky will still be with us next season.

If you spoke to him in person as I and some others did, you could here his love & passion for the club. I think you'd be satisfied.

I believe he wants to stay.

I really wish people would stop putting Jurrah at full forward

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
