Macdonald smothered. NM quick transition. Harvey beats Grimes to the fall of the ball. Shot on goal. Point

Sylvia goals. Snap after good lead up by Bate

Finally going direct thru the corridor and its paying off.. we may still be in this!

Martin crashed into wins free. Blood rule. Can Martin kick it from 50?

No was the answer. NM kick point. Margin 20

Petterd GOAAAAALLLLLLLLLL. Great link play by Martin and Scully in the middle

did i mention that i picked the wrong day to give up smoking!!

This is the reason we do smoke

Firrito doesn't like Sylvia's haircut

Let hope we fight it out

Well we got that at least.

Like I said earlier, we'll run the game out ok. We're a good 4th quarter side.

Do we deserve to win though? We're doing it ugly.

3 Qtr time:

NM 72 Mel 58

..and its on at 3 qtr time!! nearly all in baby! Col Sly looking Alien-like and all fired up - were in this game!

We sucessfully transfered our MCG game to ethiad that qtr. Played on at all costs, THRU THE CORRIDOR at every chance-

and it paid off. Their bad kicking may have helped scoreboard-wise but we played better more attacking and it was a great improvement.

Win, lose or draw.. i just hope we keep playing in that spirit.

EDIT: warnock! almost inexcusable..

Not over, but she's spat out the phlegm, and cleared her throat.

She reached for a glass of water, and sat down !

Confusing figures and statistics:

N.M. went into their 50 as much as we did. They have had twice as many scoring shots.

BUT (and I didn't know this): Dees are the ONLY team to have won EVERY 4th quarter this year.

14 points doesn't sound much (compared to 7 goals!) but catch-up football...how exhausted are we (another surprise - N.M. is a YOUNGER side than we are).

Back to 20. Unable to clear loose ball from NM 50 line

Frawley's concussed and off for the game? Anyone know how/what happened?

We need to kick 5 goals unanswered to win this.

Those two goals at the start of this quarter REEEEALLY hurt.

Petterd goals after finding space and being found by Davey. C/mon boys

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
