What a nightmare - over the next 2-6 weeks there are players at Casey that might by vying for promotion:

Rivers

Johnson

Wonna

Watts

Morton

Bell

From last night, Bail and further down the track, LJ Cool J.

Anyone I've forgotten?

Solutions? I suppose the 'cheap' game has disappeared from Bailey's agenda. Looking forward to watching the juggling act.

Don't bother with Johnson or Bell.

Rivers is going to find it hard to crack back into the side the way we're going.

Wonna will take time, as will Watts, and Morton is still a few weeks away, but will get back in straight away I feel.

Bail deserves his spot back but might not get it just yet.

injuries and form will give every one a go.

I hope Bailey coaches in such a way that the differences are minimal whoever plays.

We need a Team standard-whoever plays. A standard is set.

Everyone?

Yes, we have to assume that injuries and lapses in form will create situations where players not currently in the 22 will be called upon.

But the names Strauss, Cheney, McNamara, Maric, Watts, Wonaeamirri, Jetta, Blease, Spencer, Gysberts, Bail and then later on Morton, Jurrah and Tapscott all, for mine, come before the names Bell, Johnson and Miller (and, for that matter, Newton).

I don't think there is any future in Bell, Johnson or Miller, and, if the necessity arises, there are others I'd like to see in the team before them.

A nightmare? I won't be losing any sleep over this sort of scenario.

I think it's important that they keep the same players together as long as they continue to win, you have to reward the players for effort. Unless there is a really poor performance put in by any player I would expect the team to stay as is.

Your right Titan, but its got to be, Like for Like. Mature player out,,, mature player comes in. Kid comes in,,,for a kid going for a spell.

If we don't keep the ratio for experience & inexperience in the team balance this year, well, we'll just fall over like Rnd1.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
