seems like fremantles drafting is paying off as well. great win over the cats, might be a challenger in a couple of years with us. hopefully some good battles coming up with them.

yes they have promised many times before and come up with nothing. but watching them today they seemed to attack the ball and push forward with pace. a very exciting game. good luck to them.

Fremantle have had about 100 promising youngsters in their 15 years (much like us in our last 15 years) but haven't capitalised. I think they are due to start playing consistent, good football. Remember, it took Brisbane 8 years to make the finals, and I think 10 years to win their first finals game, and 14 years to win a flag. They are due to start playing good football, and based on the game against Geelong today, their fans are really itching for it. If they get on a role, they will be unstoppable at Subi; that place was looked like a cauldron today.

from the start of the season i have thought freo will do very well and i have been right so far.

they arnt as bad as what people think.

i have tipped them every game and i will continue too.

good luck to them

I like Freo because as a club we empathise alot with them as being the whipping boys of the competition for the past....well in their case always.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
