Shane Valenti has been told he will be delisted.

Poor old Matty Egan, as a non-Geelong supporter, but a lover of this game, I feel so so sorry for him. He was officially a gun, unfortunately suffered at the hands of too many injuries.

I really hope that he can get his body right with a year off, hell, he could find himself playing for the GC or WS.

on SEN they said that Rance from tiges is keen to move back to his home state of Brisbane!

Ludicrous.

Rance comes from WA.

I think you mean someone else.

Raines perhaps?

right you are.. i did some 'google-ing' and apparently SEN got the names messed up when they first announced the rumour ..but they cleared it up later (probably when i turned off)

Greg Denham said this morning that Brisbane and Richmond have already signed the paperwork required to trade Raines to Brisbane for Brisbane's 3rd Round pick. It will be done as soon as Trade Week commences.

Also, Caroline Wilson's article in The Age today says that Richmond has delisted Cleve Hughes and Kayne Pettifer.

Btw Demonland, to split hairs, Matthew Egan was delisted, he didn't retire.

At the moment we're not differentiating between delistings and retirements until official announcements are made by the clubs. They're all retired until an official delistings list comes out and we'll sort things out then.

Allow me to futher split hairs: http://www.geelongcats.com.au/geelongnews/...07/default.aspx

Neil Balme: "Both the club and Matt are committed to do everything we can to get him back playing in the AFL, but that will not be next year."

Egan: "My longer term goal is still to get back and play at AFL level, but I understand that is a long term process. I haven’t given up on that and will do everything within my power to comeback. But that will not happen quickly enough to be able to play next year."

So I reckon he's been officially delisted.

PS: I'm bored.

bump..

can this be pinned pls.. lol.. too lazy to go searching..and the relevent trades ( picks ) are important to discussions.

cheers :)

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
