I cant stand this TANK talk, but I hate to loose and I want the priority pick. So do it guys. I will just go to sleep until the end of round 22 and wake up knowing that at least the best 2 National draft kids and the best pre season pick will be lining up round 1 2010 along side Watts, Blease, Jurrah, Wonna, Morton, Grimes, Garland, Struass and co.

I am totally with you man, don't know whether i will even attend the last few games, as Barracking for a loss is just not right. But I want those 2 Draft Picks at melbourne as my Christmas Present.

I will get over the next 6 confusing weeks if we can start Winning Regulairly next year.

I want us in the finals like we were in our glory years, a real power house and win 3 premierships in a row!!

Maximum benefits to continue rebuilding our list.

Play for the future, not points.

I don't think its a matter of if we should or shouldn't, the fact now is we are!!

But everyone says they aren't. if you are in business you do everything in you power to keep afloat. whether you like the rules on not they are there. just admit it, get on with it. However there are players playing for their future, if not with us in the future, with other teams, i know for a fact they will give 110%.

I am a firm believer that when the tanking word gets brought up every year, that its not the players that tank, its the selection committee, and game day coaching box that is tanking. I could not agree more with you that the players that put on the red and blue jumper sunday will be going 100%

Looking at this weeks team I think it has become a moot point.

I know i live interstate and cant make games but can i suggest you should keep going to our home games. Support what we are "doing". Cause if they think supporters dont like what we are doing then maybe they will decide to put a "show"on.

I'm purely there as an impartial observer -- I merely want to witness first-hand the performances of those whose futures will be decided shortly and those who are developing.

He didn't say that; he merely inferred that considering the team we have put out there the point is moot.

Whether tanking or not, we won't win.

Yes. Was going to post that I was comfortable with everything except the word ensure, an absolute, but that says it better.

Edit: Therefore, I didn't vote.

I don't like the term 'tanking'.

I prefer the politically correct 'strategic recruitment positioning.'

Love it! :)

Don't worry Mouse i will be at he 'G, I am in favour of what the club is doing, it just goes against my nature to support the loser.

No Pain no Gain my friend, that i do know. It's worth watching L.J. anyway!!!

you play with in the rules and their is no rule on tanking. just like the way Hawthorn won a flag or the way teams flood. nothing saying you cant just that most dont want to see it.

lets do what ever we have to . to make this club a great club again

We all need to buy Donnie a few jugs of beer to get him through these dark times.

I sympathize with him, it really sucks to barrack for a loss, but hey i want The Holy Grail Back Home...

Whilst i want the draft pick i will still be screamin my lungs out at every game. I will still be shattered when we loose. but, next year look out! here we come!

Each club has a different culture.

For example Richmond devours coaches and ex players.

Collingwood is a powerful club, yet ultimately unsuccessful.

etc. etc.

Melb. has developed a losing culture over the last fifty years

or so.

Failing at Grand Finals ignominiously.

Inability to win away from home.

Winning at the beginning of the year, then falling in a heap.

And more. It's too painful.

I will be absolutely convinced that the culture of losing

is here to stay if Melb. wins 5 or more matches.

They need to become ruthless like Carlton.

Win by losing and toss the old culture out.

Let's get one thing straight .......... we're not trying to "LOOSE". We're hoping to LOSE.

Sorry if it seems a bit pedantic, but posts lose their impact with infantile spelling.

I hope this "best ever tanking team"...WINS !!!!!!!

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
