Was Saturday a Demons home game?

Every time the filth from the west scored a goal, up flashed Leaseplan....

I know they are a sponsor of the dogs but did not realise that they were of the demons?

how does this happen??

a minor item but surely if i were a sponsor of the demons, i would not expect this sort of treatment!!!

They sponsor the G, not the Dogs. Ended last year.

It was also their replacement game apparently.. That's why there was alot of dog supporters at the game.. Or was it just where I was sitting..?

Yeah, i thought that was the case too.

Felt so strange going to a saturday game - but a feeling I could get used to.

i did not think that there were that many dogs fans at the game....

they should have packed that ponsford stand out and been louder than their inspid cheer squad.. they were very quiet!!

our crowd always seems to be louder than the opposition, even with such a small number - shows the passion!!

and mission - what a shyte name.. reckon they look rank on the jumpers too!!

here's to still boycotting a certain mexican food co!

6mths and going strong!

Has it made a dent in their sales figures? ;)

Did anyone else hear Doggies' supporters screaming? I'm talking not about vigorous cheering but outright high-pitched teeny-bopper screaming - like you would have heard at a Beatles concert in the early 1960s. I don't think it was coming from directly behind the goals with their cheer squad but from the pocket next door (and it wasn't coming from the AusKick kids either). And, perhaps more importantly, any reason why their fans were screaming?

Absolutley - loud and clear sitting almost diammetrically opposite in the ground. I remarked to my wife that it was like going the Show and hearing kids on the rides. Only when the play was in the SW pocket. Weird. Rent-a-crowd?

Yep

Cos I'm on the boycott too and have a generously healthy appetite

I've also made a tribe of my own mini humans (with help) who unbeknown to themselves are boycotting too :lol:

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
