Injuries during the week

We come off Aami Stadium with no injuries on match day again. But after Round 1 Garland and Buckley get injuried during the week and after Round 2 Mcdonald gets injuried during the week. Fingers crossed No injuries after today.

Yea I hope so as well. We can't afford any more defenders to go down like Warnock or Frawley. Does anyone know how McDonald is progressing?

In the Age it says hes a possible return for next week against Richmond

Don't forget Bail who played well at Casey last week was suddenly not selected to play this week either in the AFL or the VFL.

I hope he does return MelbournePassion.

Out- Dunn

In- McDonald.

Yeah, Maric will come in this week for Jetta. Bad luck to the young man, but he just isn`t doing that much for us at the moment.

Yeah bad luck if Jetta gets dropped but Bennell and Cheney have shown more as first-year players so Jetta's the obvious choice.

I think that Jetta, Cheney and Bennell can all play together and should.

Be ludicrous to dump them now. They seem to be improving by the week. The Roos clearly underestimated Cheney in round one and he has played solid in the next 2 round. Bennell and Jetta seem to get more confidence with every possession.

I reckon Bennell is progressing the best out of the 3. Is improving 100% per game. Loved that tackle and holding the ball he won in the last qtr and resultant goal.

Has a bit of class and composure about him. Good signs.

Yeah 14 disposals for 0 critical errors. Very promising youngster got some speed to and he backs himself.

Garland complained of soreness after the round one match; subsequent scans revealed a stress fracture of a navicular bone.

The fact that this news came out during the week does not qualify it to be represented in this thread.

For some reason, Jamie Bennell isn't listed in the stats for Port Adelaide V Melbourne on the AFL website.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
