Could Jack Grimes win the rising star?

Featured Replies

.. and i'm not sure its all about potential. I think its more about the best performing young player.

You could get 58 disposals and kick 10 in your first game rd 22 and you'll still not win the Rising star.

btw Jack Grimes has shorten to 21-1. I'm still getting on.

In answer to the topics question: Of course he can. But it's a long shot. ;)

yeh alot of ppl here do have the blinkers on and are so biased with young players that they need someone like me to give them a reality check. There are several young players that I do rate though, namely Dunn(if used up forward), petterd, maric, stef martin (kicking is crap but he doesnt get too many kicks anyway) and garland (just got on his bandwagon).

Thanks Freak, you have made me see the light. I will now look at football in a whole new way.

To rate Petterd so highly when he torches the ball consistently just further clouds the very vague argument you have put up thus far. I think maybe it is you who needs to remove the blinkers and listen to other opinions rather than pumping yourself up.

NB: I am a fan of Petterd but it for his courage and ability to read the play but it certainly isn't for his ability to hit a target,

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
