Demons Jumper in crowd Boxing Day

Seriously impressed to see a DEMONS jumper on display in crowd on Boxing Day @ MCG.

C'mon own up who was it?

Was it a demonlander?

Who ever you where you are a star.

What a gun! The renaissance is beginning!

The last time I wore an MFC jumper to a non Melbourne game was the Bulldogs V's Adelaide game in round 1 this year(before our Hawthorn game) and got laughed and scorned at. They yelled out - "why are you wearing the piece of [censored] jumper"? I said to them "you watch guys, we'll beat Hawthorn tonight". Sure enough we got pumped by 103 points

I'm sure that guy would've copped a fair bit in the crowd for wearing the Demon jumper, but good on him!

I managed to score some WICKED seats for the State of Origin match this year... I stood up at 1/4 time to stretch the legs and look back at the crowd, proudly displaying the red and blue... Eddie McGuire looked at me from a few seats behind me as I arched my back, with a snarl and raised eyebrow as if to say "How did a demons fan get in here?"

That's right Eddie... It's a sign of things to come... Be afraid, be very afraid.

Haha. I wore my jumper to the Carlton VS Richmond match in round 1 and had a few 'go dees' from other people.

Haven't seen the guy in the crowd with the jumper, i saw a Hawthorn one and St. Kilda one, but have only been watching on/off.

every time i travel i wear my demons jumper

especially on a plane or on a bus, it stands out

See, this is the kind of thing that turns people from "one or two games a year" supporters to regulars.

It's a great feeling seeing other Demons.

Hell, up here in Canberra it's a great feeling just seeing anyone in AFL colours.

One of the best things you can do for the club, short of large cash donations  is just BEING VISIBLE.

So congrats, and bonus points for annoying Eddie McMiwwionaire.

My Dees jacket got a daily workout through Europe, and I got a lot of "nice jacket's!" Wearing the colours is the least one can do, we should be proud to display our club's colours at all opportunities.

And yes, I did propose in my Melbourne Jacket!

Congrats!

I also wear my Dees jacket everytime I head outside, here in Seattle.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG to face the Tigers in their annual Blockbuster on ANZAC Eve for the 10th time. The Dees will be desperate to reignite their stuttering 2025 campaign and claim just their second win of the season. Can the Demons dig deep and find that ANZAC Spirit to snatch back to back wins?
