Hey All

Just wanted to share that for the past 3 days, I have mosied on out of the house in the morning to trip over a copy of the AGE which will continue to be delivered to my door Thursday - Monday for the next 12 months.

$25 must be a mistake, do yourself a favour and help the club out in the process.

For anyone looking for a bit of 'what's in it for me?' in your donations, this has to be the best value going around!

I also subscribed to this special.

Best thing is that there is no where near as many articles about Collingfilth in the Age as there is in the Herald Sun - and that's got to be the best reason to take out a subscription!

I've had it for the last year and so have my folks

Some friends of my folks who don't follow football are thinking of getting a Dees membership just for the paper cos they'll still be ahead

4 issues for 52 weeks equals 208 newspapers, and at a cost of $25 is approx. 12 cents per issue if you're already a member

at $170 for an adult 11 membership + $25 for the age offer, you're still still talking less than $1 (93c) per paper.

Tell your friends.

Even less if you are pensioner/retirees as my folks friends are ;)

$120 or $11.41/month + $25 for the paper

sweet deal for those in that bracket

Or you can get the Age direct from them for

Fri - Mon (4 Days) - SAVE OVER 30%* 52 Weeks $260.00

http://subscriptions.fairfax.com.au/Starts...rc=INETGENE0707

Saving of $115 for concession members plus paper

Even more if comparing full price

For every member who takes up this special offer, The Age will donate $10 back to MELBOURNEfc. Subscribe now to save over $320, and support your Club

I will be painting my house soon, I could do with the extra paper.

Seems odd that so many seem to have never heard of this before recently...

I have been a member for many years. This is the 1st year that I had seen this from the club. Our marketing at times in the past has been nothing short of a joke. I'm not suprised that i am not the only one who is now a 1st year subscriber to the age.

I remember getting a flyer for it as part of my membership last year, and i've seen it in some of the magazines the club has sent out.

Oh well, at least people are finding out about it, more cash for the club!

Last year I only received my membership, and that was after nearly 2-3 months of waiting! The year before, sent to the wrong address. For the 2-3 years prior reserved seats at TD stuffed up.... and i could keep going....... at the end of the day though who cares-there's nothing better then to watch the greatest football club in the world!

But it does seem like they have finally got their act together. its a great feeling waking up to a good read on the door step over the weekend!

I've always known of it's existence.

I've just never lived anywhere where I wouldn't have to worry about 100 other people making it downstairs before me to pick up the delivery. =)

Yeah, i would get one, but it is only avaliable to Victorian based supporters, and i live in NSW. So i cant get it :(

I organised mine yesterday, so cheap. my housemates are quite impressed as all of us are far too lazy on the weekend to get up to get the paper

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
