Gardiner, Cousins and Carroll to line up for the same team.

Good to see St Kilda taking a backward cultural step. They might win some games though!

It gives me so much comfort to know that, no matter how badly we're traveling on or off the field, we will never reach the same level of failure reached by the St.Kilda Football Club on a regular basis.

Gardiner, Cousins and Carroll, plus Milne and... is Gehrig still kicking on?

Is Montagna the name you're looking for?

but yes, st kilda and carlton...hate them both

Has West Coast totally ruled out Cousins name for good?

Ha! Good point Redleg. I hate St Kilda so much, now I have a reason.

I really dislike only one club and that is carltank. I personally hope they finish 14-15th for the next hundred years if they last that long. I don't want them to finish last as that would give them some joy, looking forward to the first draft pick.

Nothing personal against the boys but I hope Warnock and Johnson play poorly for them as well.

I think Gardiner should've been delisted and been replaced by our own Jeff White. Surely he has more to offer than Gardiner does?

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
