Delistings/trades at end of the season
I dont actually think we have a chance at him so its a moot discussion, but i think the Melbourne FC needs a big name signing to help show the footy world we are on the up (finally). Hogan, Vandenburg, Petracca and Brayshaw = Super exciting for me! I just wonder who we are paying to get near to 70% of our salary cap let alone 92% (or whatever it is). I like the development from within theory, but also see the truly A grade mid for only $$$ as something worth chasing (especially if it equals more wins, which should equal Hogan staying). Yarran all the way! Pick 4 & 50 ish for Yarran and their pick 20 & 65ish?

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Just interested in how it would be? Is it because of the money we would have to spend on him? I think anyone of that class would be worth it seeing how he is a restricted free agent (hence we dont have to offer draft picks). P.s. Really happy with Watts game yesterday, he was clearly a class above with his disposal (we over used the ball so badly 100 more handballs), yet jacks lace out kicks were a pleasure to watch. Just need to get the Toump to stop handballing so much and the two maligned guys will be so much better than they were thought of a few weeks back!

Delistings/trades at end of the season
I actually think it may be only the minimal number of delisting at this stage.. If we then land a bigger name in the trade period, that may force our hand on mids like Riley/Michie/Trengrove.. All have promise but (the but is the issue). Obviously if anyone retires (Jamar/Cross) or leaves (Howe/Garland) then more spots are open and less get delisted. My clear delist at this stage is: McKenzie and Terlich (so we need 2 more i think to meet the minimum changes?). Or it might be a massive cleanout . With Rookies is it still 3 years and then its upgrade or delist?

The 2014 AFL National Draft
Yep with Newton we currently only have 2 list sports available on our primary list. If we pay someone out (e.g. evans/mckenzie debate) we would have an additional spot to use pick 40. If we then wanted to use pick 53 as well (and upgrade Jetta with a later pick) we would need to pay out 2 contracted players. I believe that is where our list currently stands.

The 2014 AFL National Draft
I'm just worried that Both Wright and McCartin play on much smaller and lighter key position defenders in the TAC cup - inflating their true value (no flooding so only 1v1 contests, e.g. 203cm+102kg vs 190cm+80kg = not fair). What happens when they get put against players the same size as themselves? Will they excel or will they turn into a mediocre forward (Lucas Cook). The bonus is that they are both big and heavy already (nothing like Watts). The other issue i see is that dawes 193, hogan 194 and McCartin 194cm are all the same height, do we need a variety? I don't actually know. And Roos would take Heeney first i reckon if he had a choice of midfielders

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
Yep agree, I have a feeling its his work ethic/1% work ethic that get him the games (almost like rooseys favorite as he does the right things (e.g. shepherds/blocks etc).. but if you cant get the ball.. I really thought toumpas was unlucky..
