  1. If they are really going to do this why not pick one state each year and play the nine games all around that state. If Victoria play a game at Warrnambool Mildura Bendigo etc. Call it the peoples round. And play a local game as the support. Make it the first round and you could play the grand final replay of the towns local league.
  2. Make that Pickle Juice, then you will get the same reaction I got on Sunday night.
  3. If there is no home ground advantage where are they going to play. I know China.
  4. Not sure about this No preseason games but an extra round " so 23 games" with one round with all teams playing on the same ground" https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/more-football-in-2023-afl-floats-nrl-style-magic-round-at-ceos-meeting-20220920-p5bjgu.html?fbclid=IwAR3g1TNrCf8HVAp4t-XAGg276axQGwXRSJnAlbfBYKgHn_ezGKp-b7PqXM8 In the NRL’s magic round, all fixtures are played at the one venue. The concept is seen as possible in the AFL after its experiences during the pandemic, playing multiple games at the same venue. The round would include a festival of football in the state where the game is played.
  5. Good point. Called AFLX off when they realised we would never be beaten.
  6. 1 At some point Demonland will call for Goodwins sacking 2 The Kozzie trade page will reach 200 pages 3 JVR will rob Carry of Brownlow Votes.
  7. Franklin not playing the game. Win and go away now wants to play again next year.
  8. MyHeartBeatsTrue @melbournefans
  9. That players like May fails to attract even a single vote should force the AFL to change the way this award is voted. But it wont, It's the umpire award is all you will hear. That 33% of players never have a chance to win is an injustice that needs to be fixed.
  10. Dangerfield rarely if ever plays two good games in a row. This is Geelong's to lose and if they do they have failed big time.
  11. End of the day it is not Cripps fault that the AFL refuses to in-force it's on rules "on big name players anyway" As for the Brownlow it's always been an Umpires award and a few total unknowns have won it in the past. PS you can play in a 12 goal losing side and still be best afield, just like Robbie Flower did many times.
  12. Highlights are on there but nothing else.
  13. Watched this game yesterday but now I wondering if it was a dream. Not a mention in The Hun today.
  14. @sirswampthing ·Players in 2022 getting 3 Brownlow votes but no coaches votes R04 Dion Prestia R07 Ollie Wines R11 Sam Powell-Pepper R14 Karl Amon R15 Karl Amon R17 Changkuoth Jiath R19 Karl Amon R19 Luke Parker R21 Jarrod Witts R21 Clayton Oliver R23 Dan Hannebery @AFL @AFLCoaches #Brownlow
  15. No wonder the bookies love this award.
  16. Sorry Mr Oliver you only got the 35 touches today that's way down on your normal game total.
  17. Didnt a player get votes one year when he went off in the 1st quarter one year.
  18. Oliver was clearly BOG that day he was possessed,
  19. Think they might have read the 2nd semi votes by mistake.
  20. AFL is a scam a total sham. Fairest and best my [censored].
  21. Neale was completely shut out in that game.
  22. It was part of the tribunal deal from a few weeks back.
  23. No one will ever convince me that they don't count the votes during the season.
  24. They just don't like him.
