For some reason I decided to give it a listen this week despite knowing what was coming but among the things I had to call out… @george_on_the_outer Ballard is out for season mate — so don’t think he’ll be holding it down in “exactly what you need” as you stated!!! Also Majak Daw NEVER played so much as ONE single game for MFC.. not ONE mate! Seriously come on dude @binman as usual nails it — 3 best kicks are out which is always gonna expose us to challenges on turnover — baby boy out with bath water yet we took flag favs right to death and 💯 shouting held on so alls not lost for goodness sake how anyone can say we are is pathetic imho also — for Andy to say Demonland is a leader in tempering abuse and negativity towards players and club is absolutely abhorrent. Sorry love the man and his work but that’s just not true. abuse is absolutely rife on the site and so much so ppl like me whom defend club wherever I think it’s getting out of control are able to be ‘warned’ for it — to say your a leader in the space is just untrue mate sorry bud. thought there was a heap of positives despite the agony LW, 6g in 6m — was a storm in teacup I hope and momentum is EVERYTHING as we should know we did win flag on same concept. Just a quick one — Turner comes back in for AJ and May injury was Friday acc to club. Glad @binman agreed re AJ and someone telling him he was better off passing if possible or hitting pocket so we can defend — only way GWS win is if he GIVE them ball back which we did. Was 1m 40s left when they took ball at kick-in.

I don't agree here -- many of their scrappy goals came from poor def setup early and poor communication perhaps but not skill errors!

As crushing as it was to lose this one, knowing the magnitude this win would've garnered at the club -- I think its hard not to feel extremely buoyant about what we witnessed yesterday, even for perennial negs like Andy and George 😜 -- Whilst Binman I suspect enjoyed the fact we looked fit, as well as there being little in the bad/ugly front for his analysis this week. Lots of learnings, inc the modern game where we need to know that ONLY way GWS win that game was to GIVE them the ball back, so someone needed to tell AJ to kick to the pocked if there wasn't an open mark to hit-up after taking his 30s, so that we could go to work to ice the game. There was plenty of luck involved in that transition for GWS, but we gave them the opportunity to take it coast-to-coast and that must be a key takeout for mine. The other being how well JEFFERSON competed, despite a member of this pod stating he couldn't possibly play due to being non-competitive! Of all the exciting signs yest, I want to know which took your fancy most gents.. - Windsor looking like Tulip more and more in just his 2nd season Game 1 - Lindsay looking unlike ANY Demon i can ever recall on debut, in terms of his make-up: Toughness, composure and silky skills (if you can find a comparison great, cus I cant think of anyone he reminds me of apart form maybe a hybrid of a few different ones) - How little we dumped the ball into our 50 with long bombs. Ball movement was excellent inc numerous tempo changes, use of angles etc despite missing 3 key pieces on that front in Kos, May, Judd.. Go Dees!!!!

Was worried 6m ago but right now it’s all pointing our way that’s for sure. Jeff has become much more vocal on dees lately and 34 literally has his name on it. Things change but there’s no doubt he loved time at club & that he’s leaning towards his dads legacy and the team he no doubt adores and GC depth at ruck and key def DEFINITELY plays, albeit Witt’s getting on but Moyle is as certain an incumbent as there is! My own view is 75-25 atm but again things change and his GC time might blow his mind and pull of the beach he’s accustomed too may win out who knows!

Billings, HL, X, Hendo, Sharp bench — In that side AJ would be missing was my point thought it was a small bench and he went with all smalls.. oops! But point stands ie IF they go that way, I think Petts as a swingman is on cards but don’t they they will, but running lower if GWS makes it at least possible they go all small at some point to move him down fwd.

Rooooo 😭 Petty could do it, but harder for backmen it’ll depend on their Matchups & if he’s set for Cadman or not I presume! Love AJ’s ticker but still think he needs time to really get confident. Love love to see Jeffo as I just have a vibe he’s gonna thrive at the lvl don’t ask me why it’s an innate intangible thing 😂 I like your bench to combat that running power of theirs, but I just can’t see us playing a fwd line without the extra tall, could Petty shock and swing fwd and 2nd ruck — absolutely a possibility.. GAWD I’m anxious to see us play, esp after seeing Tigers tonight that was utter brilliance! Toey as a Yeezy foam sneaker!!!

Think Sharp has to play given his running prowess — kicking isn’t as bad as it seems just needs to slow-down decision making & keep head over ball (he lifts it far too early). Langford is READY that’s absolutely factual, he’s playing 💯 Would love to see Jeffo, think club feels same but not using roo as BU Ruck might mean AJ gets nod.. Lindsay also has to play for mine but fear he’ll be sub.

Think Tmac for no other reason than Petty returning to backline finds himself in outer until we play a genuine giant fwd line (pardon the pun). In that instance he comes in for Howes. In saying that who knows 😂 R1 always toughest bench to discern down to 4+1, and as much as I’d LOVE Henderson to bolt into the side as sub I think he’s 2-3 away still but note he IS coming into the side, best blv it! My best guess is: Langford, Sharp, AJ, Billings & Lindsay the Sub. But hoping more it’s Billings sub, Lindsay in! Cannot wait! Despite my punting laws stating all R0 teams should win, I’m hoping Giants playing in heat etc LW might wear them down but that’s a prayer given confidence they have in their running power (I already had them top 4 in my pre season fitness ladder 😠) per Toby G quote during week. Think it’s all gonna come down to strategy, ie can we slow their running game down! We have the cattle, the ground & purpose but they’re match-hardened.. Dees by 14pts (if we kick <12 behinds 🙏

A guy I’d just ADORE at MFC… Wants to play midfield in years ahead and why not, but for us he’d be a great pick up more as a small back which we’re dying for at present! Tough, low-key good kick, has an aura about him — why not have a crack dees haha
