  1. He did sit one drill out DP, but I saw no issue with his running, kicking and turning. Your guess is as good as mine layz, he trained and linked up well in the short match sim. The strange part is DD, Oliver was in gear ready to go and just prior to the warm-up he went in the rooms and didn’t reappear.
  2. Arrived just before 10am and the team was starting to prepare for the session. They did some fun warm-up exercises in their respective lines to begin with. Noticed Kozzie was part of the forward group. Players on modified duties were Salem, Spargo, Verrall and K Turner with the former two running laps mostly. The serious stuff begun with some kicking and handball drills at high speed spaced out over 50m or so. The next exercise consisted of two groups split into white v blue. Basically kick to a pack and which ever team won the ground ball would try and attack with precision at high speed mainly looking for a player over the back. When this ended some of the squad mainly the whites went in the rooms, that included Brown and Melksham. The rest stayed out for some match sim. I counted about 26-27 players left. Harmes, Joel Smith and a kid in the 17 jumper with long hair (no idea who sorry) were included in the sim along with the main extended listed squad. Match sim was 13v13 and was at high intensity and fast. I have no idea how the scores were kept but it was Blue 4.20-44 to White 3.25-43. I only saw one goal and it was from Dunstan after some good ball movement. Blues won the match with the last play because Langdon marked a Chandler pass inside 50, I guess hitting a target counts as a score. Highlights in the sim included a Sparrow tackle on Laurie and Grundy taking a couple of pack marks. After this they split into their lines again for some extra work. Petty was with the forwards as was J Smith. The backline only consisted of May, Lever, Turner, McVee and Hibbo. Rivers was with the mids as was Gus. Lever, Gawn and Viney trained fully and seem ready to go. Brown also trained fully. I wasn’t going to post the following but we had reporters there asking MFC officials why Oliver didn’t train. I’m sure it will be reported he was absent. Viney and Gawn stayed out for extra work with Stafford as I was leaving. Kozzie, Trac, Grundy, Fritta and Harmes stayed out for goal kicking practice and there was also a cheer in the end of session huddle. There were a few other observers there so if I’ve missed anything maybe someone else can post it.
  3. Yes.. he’s moving really well and so is Lever. Hibbo not looking hampered either.
  4. Nice job Andy. What a surprise Judd has been, speaks well.
  5. Yeah what’s up with that?
  6. It will be interesting to see this week layz. We have often heard ANB and Spargo are two important cogs. One of them is missing this week and one thing we’re all sure of is that Harmesy’s two way running has never been an issue.
  7. Harmes is too good for VFL.
  8. That would be magnificent.
  9. When they showed Viney on the screen shaking his head I couldn’t help shake my head also. Just wondering if you fellas did the same. 😁 I found Viney’s post-match interview interesting. He touched on a little about how we’ll get extra recovery and extra training heading into Richmond, something we obviously didn’t get heading into Essendon. No excuses, but we were very slow to cover the ground when Essendon switched and moved the ball. It really was uncharacteristic.
  10. Was Sparrow out there? Some reports of a possible delayed concussion after the Merrett tackle.
  11. Yes, I thought I saw it mentioned in an article and that it was stated in our medical report.
  12. We sat behind the cheer squad rjay and Gus did a lot of work off the ball clearing space for the likes of McVee and Bowey. Numerous times he would give a clever little bump to Ess forwards so May and co could have a free jump at a mark. Ran it out until the end, he was the least of our worries on Saturday. It almost feels like early 2021 where Gus was solely judged on his possession numbers until it was known what his exact role was.
  13. Not interested in the logistics, we enjoyed the trip and it was great to see footy fans with all sorts of colours walking around Adelaide. They had all sorts of activities for kids and adults near the river opposite the oval. Overall the vibe was a good one we thought.
  14. What???
  15. We went and we had a fun trip except for the game of course. But i won’t going back next year unless Adelaide Oval gets a TAB.
  16. They moved the ball quick and with ease too many times. From where we sat we just couldn’t cover the ground quick enough. Missed Lever’s guidance today. Petty very reactive in the first half, haven’t seen him play this bad for a while.
  17. Grey sky and very wet early this morning, it rained overnight and currently we have a light drizzle.
  18. Little Papa is great to watch when he’s not playing against the Demons.
  19. Melbourne members got an email with a barcode back in December from memory about grabbing free tickets for Gather Round Viper. After that offer I’m not sure mate.
  20. What I think people are missing is the fact that this round doesn’t dig into a Port home game. The AFL has said that all tickets to the double header tomorrow have been sold. If the majority of sales have gone to Port fans then yes, we could be playing in a not so filled stadium until Port fans arrive. I’m guessing each teams’ supporters had an even chance of getting tickets. I’m hoping to see at least a half full stadium for our game from the start.
  21. I still maintain the best thing about Gold Coast is Jupiters
  22. Dew should just fart on his players. They need gas up them
  23. Oh Schultz
  24. I think I’ve watched enough footy to know if they have cameras between the goal post and the point post. Do they? Cause they should
