You find a bit of positivity and people swoop with misery like a seagull at Rye back beach. You wouldn’t find many supporters that are thrilled with the way the season has gone, but we are allowed to focus on some of the things that cheer us up, god knows we’ve read the negatives over and over. And I agree, after our opening 5 rounds we’ve been in every single game since, unfortunately we didn’t capitalise on our momentum during those games. I still believe we can get a lot out of our remaining games.

Ball was low and he wasn’t even looking at the ball when he took that wild swing. Not saying he wanted to knock Sparrow out, but when you lash out like that you need to be held accountable for your actions, it’s pretty simple really. Max looked like he didn’t even want to shake hands with Xerri, it was the briefest of handshakes you’ll ever see after the game.

The T Mac discussion is interesting. Might have to be reminded, but it was documented in the preseason T Mac was always going to be behind May and Lever, T Mac only came into the R1 team cause of a late change (May) from memory. He played some great footy until he was dropped after Lions game where it wasn’t one of his best. Gardiner kicked 4 for the Lions that day, maybe T Mac was responsible for letting that happen.

If I was in charge I’d never take Kozzie off. I feel they got back in the game in the 2nd when Kozz was off for 5-10 mins. He was ripping them a new one up to that point.

Wouldn’t blame any supporter for being a little filthy about that performance. Not sure how our forwards are meant to mark skyscrapers. Whatever the method was today, it wasn’t good. Port weren’t even that good, they were a lot smarter.

That was one of the better VFL games to watch in terms of standard. Not the usual scraps we often see, it was free flowing with good skill on show from both sides. Kalani certainly made you take notice in the last, especially when the game was still up for grabs. He had a snap at the goals from the pocket in the third which he missed, but the technique reminded me of his dad instantly.

Congrats Garry. I remember a game in the early 90s, we had a pretty ordinary start to the year and we were looking down the barrel of another loss at 3/4 time against the Bears/Lions from memory. Garry was thrown into the middle in the last and completely changed the game and we ended up winning. That’s how good he was.

Having 4 umpires has ruined it, all of a sudden we have 4 different interpretations even though they are taught the same rules. I almost threw my beer at them in disgust when they came nearby, but I remembered it cost me $12.
