  1. Wouldn’t hurt to leave his manager a text, although I think the Dogs would want to keep him. Out of contract season’s end and wouldn’t be a bad choice for a mid/forward position. Melksham turns 28 this year, Dunkley could easily fit that role imo for years to come. Not as good as Jake in field kicking, but can snag a goal from nowhere also.
  2. The Demon shop now stocks red and blue gaffa tape jane. I noticed a Carlton supporter with her mouth covered. Hmmm.
  3. Are the Dogs for real here?
  4. Lol, security pacing up and down the aisles, every fan on notice it seems. Do we need to be looking over our shoulders celebrating now?
  5. Get Josh Dunkley now!
  6. What a woeful quarter by the Saints. Nearly every disposal was cringeworthy.
  7. A week long bye round blitz sale is currently on at the Demon shop. Mid-season markdowns galore. If you’re looking forward to some shopping this weekend go nuts with the bargains. Up to 50% off on some guernseys.
  8. I read the Suns are targeting Roughead for a possible off-field role next year. I hope Lewis is in his ear about coming to us. Goal kicking coach would be a good start.
  9. Hore - Absolute gem. Reminds me of Matty Whelan, different types of course but similar in the way both looked comfortable from the get go. I believe he can go up to another level too. Baker - I might have gone a bit early not giving Oskar much of a chance from his VFL games , but injuries presented an opportunity and I think he’s done well so far. One of the rare players on our team at the moment that just tucks the ball under the arm and wants to go. Liking his instinct at AFL level. Lockhart - Has shown enough cameos to persist with. He has a good leap for his size and isn’t scared to take the big boys on. Good goal sense too. I’m just unsure if he and Spargo both fit in the team. Sparrow - Solid debut in Round 1, wasn’t scared to throw his solid body in the contest. Looked good to me in traffic during the scratch match against Pies with his limited game time. I think he will develop into a good player for us. Keilty - Unfortunately didn’t show much in his two games. The fact that Tim Smith is included in the team after missing a week or two makes me think Keilty is well down in the pecking order.
  10. Have tactics like these always been a habit of Stratton’s? Probably gone under the radar in the past, but nowhere to hide now when you’re a captain of a club.
  11. A Kyle Dunkley debut, Gawn smashing a “sore” Grundy again in the return fixture, winning the toss against Norf in R23 and kicking with the wind in the opening quarter. Like most, this household is feeling pretty flat. Would also like to see if Goody and the match committee have the gonads to omit players severely out of form.
  12. Players on a break I’m guessing. Hunty enjoying himself at Movie World. All good as long as they took a Sherrin with them, those lines can get awfully long and congested.
  13. A six week stint in the SANFL certainly worked for him binman, came back on a mission. Unfortunate he hurt his knee very late in the game, will miss some games now.
  14. Most of us would remember Neal Daniher’s last game as coach, would like to hear about the emotions on the night, especially when Neita and Neale walked off together with arms around each other. Thanks.
  15. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to run with Shanks for his next food truck venture.
  16. Fox Sports using a 3 word analysis in a mid-season review. An absolute disaster. 3 sentences is all we got about what’s gone right, Hore and Lockhart have been good value pick-ups, we didn’t lose to Gold Coast and that’s about it. The following on the bad is pretty much what most are saying. The team has never looked right strategically, switching between slow play that can be picked apart and unnecessarily fast play-on footy that just results in mistakes and turnovers. They continue to create good inside 50 numbers, but can’t kick straight to save themselves. The interrupted pre season has played a huge part in our decline also imo, I wonder how many of those with post season surgeries or injuries post Christmas weren’t actually ready for Round 1 but played anyway.
  17. T Mac wow.... a few ‘experts’ had him as the Coleman medalist prior to the season and he’s produced just 4 DL votes after R12.
  18. Ha Ha, spotters dressed up like FBI agents, goodness me! There are a few tweets from witnesses that go with that Age article that back up the story of the Pie fan. People will seriously boycott soon.
  19. Taking the pizz now surely ??? From The Age I'm not at the ballet': Cops bail up Pies fan for 'barracking too loud A Collingwood fan at Monday's clash at the MCG claims he was threatened with eviction by half a dozen police because he was 'barracking too loud'. He said police acknowledged he was not swearing or being abusive, and when he questioned them about the apparent problem an officer replied: "Do you hear what I said? You're barracking too loud".
  20. Apologies if it’s been mentioned already but the modern day coaching is frustrating. How did Garlett end up one out with DeGoey in our back 50? I don’t think I ever saw Farmer in the back pocket.
  21. How many byes is that already? Same issue last season, we have a fit player in Stretch that will have played one game in 3 weeks. I’d like to see Preuss get a game in a fortnight, not holding my breath though. Also, Lobb ruled out for Freo for an extended period due to a stress fracture in the foot.
  22. Thread needs a title change already. Melksham is injured, great player and we miss him but he won’t solve our problems right now.
  23. Head scratcher if true. We basically fielded our best back 6 yesterday minus Jetta and we conceded the most points since round 3. Defence isn’t the problem.
  24. If Gawn’s performances aren’t enough to inspire the team right now I’m not sure what will. Tireless and Herculean performances each and every week. Not sure how to feel about Max being captain next season. The man leads already and some don’t follow. Just incredible numbers he’s putting up.
  25. Yes Skuit, it looked like several times we were attempting to score a try and it was so frustrating to watch them waltz it the other way for easy goals. 3-9, oh boy!
