I stupidly was confident before this game but our two biggest issues have come to the fore: 1) Clearances 2) Concerting in the forward line

Brisbane are binning their top four chances.

I won’t be surprised to see Sydney or GWS playing in a prelim.

I guess it’s how interstate teams feel having to play a Grand Final at the MCG.

Bulldogs will likely miss the top four now given Brisbane should win. The Bulldogs have gone from potentially top spot to 5th in last round. That’s one of the most significant non-finals losses I’ve ever seen.

The Bulldogs got to the dangerous 4-5 goal lead. They needed another three goals to snuff Port out early.

I’ve become increasingly sensitive to how the media portray us now that we are good. People like Eddie and Derm really struggle to acknowledge it (while their teams are poor especially), always providing excuses for the opposition and so on. But this headline really got my goat: Melbourne, the top team in the competition, the only team to be in the top four all year who are coming off a convincing win have “dumped” veterans (to bring in three very good players). While Richmond, the reigning Premiers who have had an abhorrent season and will miss the finals can drop almost half their team and they are just “changes”.

Smart. Dumb.

Am I the only one who would prefer Jones in the team over Sparrow?

Having both Sparrow and Viney in the same team makes me nervous. At least there won’t be a crowd to yell “ball”.

I’m sure the headline is somewhat misleading but just worry about winning first, Patrick.

Even if we didn’t win another game from this point on we could have made finals on percentage.

Despite their forward line not being great the Bulldogs’ midfielders can get on top of ours which is a big worry.

Port Adelaide don’t really scare me but last time we played them they had a a fair few players out so it is tough to judge them properly but I think they are still my preferred opponent (not in Adelaide though).
