  1. I'm having to rely solely on the live statistics for any information. Valenti looks to be getting a fair bit of the ball, how is he going?
  2. Agreed.
  3. By running the club as a business, the likelihood of winning a flag increases as the club runs more efficiently, effectively and is able to reinvest in areas such as the Football Department, facilities, coaches etc. I am in the "win a premiership" group as I believe that in achieving this goal, all other purposes that the club serves (pleasing stakeholders and alike) are more likely to be satisfied.
  4. Most of the games I've seen Buckley play have been on the wing. Buckley's sometimes bad disposal is overplayed here as his long kicking is generally very good. The way he moves, takes on the game, creates space and opportunities with his genuine pace makes him a very valuable player and must be kept.
  5. They seem to get a lot don't they.
  6. I was at Casey Fields for Jurrah's first training session and despite some people saying that his kicking lacked penetration (which it didn't) from that point on I knew that he would be something special. However, what I never expected from Jurrah is the way that he has almost completely taken the heat off young Watts. Like I said in another thread (albeit with a bit of tongue and cheek) I can see these two forming a lethal forward combination with their apparent strengths complimenting each other nicely.
  7. I've heard that many times before.
  8. He looks to have a solid build on him. Where in the draft is he likely to go? EDIT: In that article it says he may go in the Rookie Draft if an AFL club wants to take the gamble.
  9. That pass was incredible, there are few in the AFL who could have done that or even contemplated doing that.
  10. I did, some great marks and passes, thanks.
  11. Despite her Geelong bias I thought she was very good.
  12. With only one game televised each week, it looks as though Casey are getting more than their fair share of TV coverage.
  13. Not at all, as I have mentioned before anyone who gets their fifteen minutes is now a "star" or "celebrity" and sports people in particular have more interest in what they do off the field rather than on it. It's disgusting.
  14. The Jurrahcane is going to be a superstar.
  15. I just got it working with IE. Jurrah is amazing.
  16. I am. Working for you?
  17. On the AFL Match Centre page there is a half time video that shows highlights of the first half, I can hear the commentary but can't see the vision, is it working for anyone else?
  18. I want to see Jurrah, anyone know where games can be watched online?
  19. I'm overseas, just started listening online. Excited about Jurrah's goals, he took a hanger?
  20. I wasn't able to see the game but Casey seem to be getting a good run of games on TV.
  21. Anyone who says that Velnti has had a chance to prove himself has no clue. Let's compare the first seasons of McLean, Jones and Valenti (similar type players). I don't have the time now to go through all of the stats at the moment as I am overseas, however here is just a quick overview. In McLean's first season he played nine games and averaged just under nine touches per game. In Jones' first season he played eight games and averaged just under 14 touches per game. In Valenti's first season he played nine games and averaged around 17 touches per game. From the 2008 season: Yes, Valenti was a couple of years older when he debuted, but no means so old that he has already peaked and there is by far plenty of room for improvement. He is a classy footballer with a sahrp brain, quick hands and is a lovely kick (despite the "he bleeds red and blue" and "Ryan O'Keefe type player" Chinese Whispers that spread around here). If ever there was a player that showed promise from little opporutnity it is Valenti. He must get more games this season and deservedly so.
  22. It's lucky that Velanti is a good kick then. It is in no way "suspect". He isn't the quickest runner, but he has very quick hands, quick kicking skills and a very quick mind.
