Agreed, and with the risk of sounding like an ultra-sensitive supporter I can’t help but think that if the president of any other club had said it then there would be no comment from the media. It’s the same with the Freed From Desire debacle, if it was any other club the whole narrative would have been how the Bulldogs over-celebrated the preliminary final win.

I just listened to this and Niall is off his tree. Having a go at Gawn for saying “this is just the beginning” straight after the Grand Final. He was the winning captain in a grand final, he can say what he likes! Classic case of people (journalists) rating future success ahead of current success.

I for the life of can’t work out why the media narrative isn’t about the Bulldogs over-celebrating the preliminary final. That should be the story, we were even accused of over-celebrating the round 23 win over Geelong which resulted in us winning the minor premiership!

They are too busy singing that song they sang after they won the premiership.

That was great, I do wish Garry Lyon could stop worrying about being so biased at times and just came out and said that grand final was the most dominant quarter and half ever played in the history of the sport.

Agreed, I hope more is made of the fact that we completely dominated the season and finals series.

Tom Morris who on the Fox Footy podcast after the grand final thought that Salem would never be more than a soft outside flanker (or words to that effect). Salem was never that and I can’t stand Morris.

If Voss is a half-decent coach then Carlton will do well this year. Like us, they now have genuine top-end talent and their recent trades have been good.

Garry Lyon is so scared of sounding biased he goes totally the other way.
