Read this slowly, if he was alert to the situation he wouldn't have had to stretch out. The problem was he was so late to react that he was forced to dive when it should have been a simple mark.

I think it's more football smarts, Brayshaw has them in spades. Toumpas, not so much.

There was a moment from Toumpas which summed him up for me. He took a mark on the half back flank, was ten metres in the clear and before even turning around to look down the ground he handpassed the ball backwards to Gawn who then turned it over. He just has no attacking instinct and still panics too much, I'm sure his stats look fine but that's about it.

That "attempt" at a mark in the first quarter was one of the laziest and softest things I've ever seen in the AFL.

Throughout the whole game when Collingwood had Oxley loose in defence we didn't kick goals, when we had even numbers in the forward line we were kicking goals. I'm not sure what game some of you were watching.

At least he is taking the game on, Toumpas is just panicking.

No one to kick it to because Collingwood have numbers back, we need to get numbers forward to counter this. Buckley destroyed Roos late in that quarter.

I dare say the wind will play a big factor today. Hold on to your hats.

Even if so, he made up for it in many other ways. 81 goals in his first 36 games, pretty amazing really.

My guess is that Roos knows Howe is leaving (like he did with Frawley) and he is only playing him to keep his value up, (although he needs to play well to do this.
