Melbourne at the tribunal/MRP 2018
Straight Sets Simon replied to buck_nekkid's topic in Melbourne Demons
I have no issue with the AFL trying to stamp out little punches like this, just so long as they are consistent. However, McDonald should have been sighted as well for the initial contact. -
Whilst these changes aren't the end of the world, there is a feeling in the air that things could get worse. If even a fraction of what is written in the below article is true then the AFL will destroy itself: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/future-melbourne/future-of-footy-soccer-poses-afls-biggest-threat/news-story/aa9868267b76c50f674046aaac3bdacc?nk=16ce8b887442afd6f2b3da85ecbbd55d-1520215243 People like Keith Thomas need to leave the game before they cause more damage.

Death, taxes and Sydney in the top four.

Helmets do not stop your brain rattling inside your head.
-
Well as we have seen the NFL has very few issues with concussion and they wear big strong helmets, oh wait.
-
The AFL are worried that more people wearing helmets will actually lead to more head injuries as players put their heads in to more dangerous positions thinking they are protected. This is a fact by the way, not an opinion.

No, no and no.

As in he needs bricks to stop hitting it?

He's injured. -
We could finish as high as 3rd or as low as 14th, it is going to be an incredibly even season.
-
Didn't we do a Richmond last year by finishing ninth in the most cruel and agonising way possible?

JLT 2 - Logistics of attending

It's not ideal, but they have improved the entrance and exit so last time I was there (game against Carlton last year) there weren't many issues getting in and out. -

His kicking has always been sublime. -
That’s an upgrade.

If Brayshaw could play close to how he played against St Kilda last year he’d be a lock for the 22. His problem however is he doesn’t really seem to have a position. He’s not really and inside or outside midfielder, not a natural defender and we have a plethora of smaller forwards already. He doesn’t get the ball enough and his disposal is questionable too (even before his concussions). -

Jack of all trades, master of none? His kicking is a bit like that, can kick on both feet but neither foot is special. -
Pure class.

Where is Brayshaw’s best position? -

Never understood the hype, they have no midfield. -
If he comes back too early and hurts his foot again I'll spew up.

Watching the women's team one thing I really like about their jumper is the fact that the yoke sits a lot lower than the men's jumper: This means that the sponsor and AFL logos don't interfere with design of the jumper as much. In 2010 we had something similar, albeit the yoke wasn't as sharp as it could be: It would be good to go back to something like the women's / 2010 men's jumper for future.
