Satyriconhome replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons

A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN

I didn't say lackey, I said sidekick, using delusional so the influence is there, how do you know Sheedy even applied for the job, what were his demands, financial etc, seem to recall we had a bit of debt then, so if we had hired him and he didn't succeed how much more debt would we have had.......you and the Range man keep putting up arguments and posters including me keep shooting them down, but that doesn't deter you, let's find another angle.....give it away......stay away from games, tear your membership up if it makes you feel good.......just leave the supporters to rally around the Club and get us out of this hole we are in -

So, that is WHERE your point starts and ends.....how do you know members are handing memberships back in, been on the phone out, no didn't think so, sitting on the sidelines crouched below your keyboard,, sniping........let the men do the fighting.....really you are now just beginning to sound sad Rangey.......it's getting down to you and your able sidekick WYL....hope the two of you enjoy your isolation.....real supporters are getting behind the Club like Don McLardy asked, until you replace him as President I'll follow him if you don't mind...........I am a realist...yes we are up to our neck in [censored], but together we will get out of it........ -

One of your best Rangey.......wow OK MEN!!!!!!.....leading from the rear..what are you going to change, haven't you noticed you are becoming isolated, sad but true I'm afraid, put the arm down, take the black glove off.......ring Caro invite her for a coffee and you can both sit and cry into your soy latte -
PM me your phone number or membership id and I will check tonight when I am in again, there has got to be an issue with your details, if you have your membership card and membership is paid, the card is active, did you try it? you just need your pack, perhaps you have a mailbox thief
-
Go to bed Rangey...I think you are sleep-deprived, or at least you are acting like you are...Caro against Schwab...I'm shocked
-
It is not a large group of people, it is one or two journalists and a couple of posters on here....some others just follow
-
Come on..... who's been drinking?

What stance, you ask the Club to be open and honest and then criticise when it is, right got it, Rangey, another hole in the foot, bang!! -

Rangey, haven't seen you posting on the Some Good News topic, what's wrong haven't the bottle You are really getting quite dramatic with your hyperbole or are you trying to get Vlad really interested with the haemorrhaging quote (little historical teaser there) -
Dave, as you saw and heard, none of us pulls punches as to what is happening or has happened, but it's take bottle to make a stand
-
WJ that is very flattering, but we are not heroes we are just welded on supporters (thanks for the quote Anne), I volunteer because a big tall Irish bloke you may have known said it was good way to help the Club.
-
Nineteen, it was an honour and a privilege for myself and my lovely lady to stand alongside you and the others tonight
-
Not wishing to steal Nineteen's thunder but we re-signed 40+ members tonight. And a lot said they will be renewing Rangey me old chum, looks like your revolution will not be televised (a bit of musical trivia for the buffs) Also got your PM, not sure what my ice skating ability has to do with anything, can you explain Also shook Mark Neeld's hand this time. We should get a reasonable crowd on Saturday. keep the faith, stay together, we will get out of this hole we are in
-
The mindset is where it is because we have had four or five horrendous years both on and off the field, with all the percieved pressure that brings........and you get supporters rabbiting on about a harmless little game with beards......every single Club has these games..we have seen the result of the wheel spin quite a few times ..but unfortunately because of where we are....the beard becomes a matter of great importance....as I said above.......this is where footy is these days......it is no wonder a lot of my vintage hark back to the 'old days'
-
Daisycutter, why open a new thread there are plenty of them, going round and round, this one blames facial growth for the performance on Saturday, at least it's a change from McLardy and Schwab. I mean I could start a thread blaming the year the players were forced to wear that horrendous silver away strip as the beginning of all our problems
-
I would prefer to ridicule supporters who have treated a person who was 17 yrs old as the Messiah, and now are unhappy because they think for the four years of pressure he has been under, he is now a false god
-
For crying out loud......you just don't shave, the beard grows......they don't sit there thinking how hard they grow their beards......this is what pisses me off about footy these days.....the only other guys under so much pressure in the same age group are serving in Afghanistan....and you volunteer for that....yes they get paid ridiiculous amounts of money compared to what they do.....but nobody dies if they fail......this is what is making the modern footy player walk away from the game at an earlier age......I fully understood what Dane Swan was on about when he said you can only put up with it for so long
-
Being the owner of a luxuriant Beard so I am biased, if a couple of the so called commentators hadn't mentioned it, it wouldn't even be a problem, I let Peter Ryan who is a media person take a picture of mine at the weekend, obviously he was going to use it for a gentle ribbing but thought better of it after the game..........you are dealing with guys who range in age from 18 to 30, if a little competition on growing a beard is as dangerous as they get in their down time....good

I do hope apart from your continuous prattling, other posters are deeply offended by you adopting the Black Power salute as a misguided attempt to signify something with your avatar... -
The Board, Administration & Culture
Satyriconhome replied to London Calling's topic in Melbourne Demons
How many more topics can we start al stating the same thing, are we going for a record? The posts on this board at the moment all sound like a broken record. The one thing we are not seeing in the posts are viable alternatives You going to nominate for the Board then? You say you are a long time reader and first time poster, you have just repeated what has been written a thousand times before Some of the things you state are a bit rich, "we were the only ones that tanked hamfistedly (great word)", how about the Kreuzer Cup, even the dog out on Yarra Park having a [censored] whilst the game was on knew Carlton didn't want to win that game -
It's quite easy, anybody that loves the Club, turn up tonight at 5:30pm at the offices at the G and ring around getting other members on board, show that the Club means something, I have been totally devastated since Saturday although it is only footy and I just want the players to start showing something, but I don't want to take it out on the Club staff who have been working their arses off to get this Club going forward
-
Of course no surprise, but still in and always will be, this is our Club
