  1. God, he'll be shattered
  2. That's very succinct, .......thought the same may apply to me.......I am not holier than thou..just don't like heroes who hide behind their keyboards bagging everything and everybody.........just looking for a bit of debate and discussion, have to look long and hard on here......sorting through the whinge/whine/sack/troll posts
  3. I thought you would recognise what I am saying, there is a group of posters on here, yourself included, who couldn't have an open discussion or debate if your lives depended on it, you do nothing but whinge and whine and the answer to every question is "sack everbody", you all claim you support the club, but do nothing but bag everybody associated with the Club Yes we are going through a rough trot, yes everybody is hurting, do you really think you are on your own, but the negative destructive rubbish that is posted achieves what? I don't agree with a hell of a lot of what Grand New Flag posts but he least he sits down and has a think about it, and offers some debate, not whinging and whining....and sack everybody Some of the other members of your minority keep posting that I am on ignore, why do they do it, to try and belittle coz they don't have the bottle or wherewithall to engage in proper debate,......do they think I really care whether they read or not.....er no
  4. I actually thought you had turned a corner, I was wrong
  5. As long as you are sitting behind your keyboard my hero, smirking, you are ok, as I have said before this board is not for discussion or debate. The rule " I am gonna post something and not back it up, if somebody disagrees they are a troll"
  6. Didn't think you had the bottle to answer, pathetic run and hide, players have the mindset, so do the "supporters",probably the same advancing years as you old chap, but have the savvy to recognise someone who's only answer to everything is whinge and whine
  7. Which bit don't you get the players are the problem at the moment, if you know how to fix the obvious baggage they are carrying then let Mark Neeld and the rest of the coaching staff know, because they are not sending them out to go into their shells and not chase, tackle etc, I don't absolve Neeld from blame as he is the one picking the team, but drastic changes will acheive what? Do you think you are on your own with the "suffering' you are feeling, er no, but some of us at least try and be constuctive in what we post, angry doesn't even cover how I felt when I walked out of the Crown, but today I am attempting to discuss reasons why it is happening, not post "Sack [censored] everybody, it's everybody's fault" Have you whinged and whined for the whole 43 years or just the last few, constantly doing that is not supporting, it is being destructive, I pay my money as well old chap, I also try and put something back into the club by volunteering, so don't sit on your high horse trying to tell me you are the only deserving soul. Also you are nowhere near why I use Satyricon as a nickname, but you have the correct reference point
  8. Jazza, you are wasting your time, posters on here don't really care about the Club, they only care that they support a winning team, when it is not winning they turn on it Agree I thought Jamar's game was the worst I have ever seen him play, the fact that he is fitter than he has ever been shows that it is all mental
  9. Moloney is being made to look good by Simon Black, interesting that Brisbane are playing well when Black is back at full fitness Petterd was given a role, he still was making the same mistakes as when he was a Dees player Jack Hannath was going to be rookied, the Fremantle interest was unknown Neeld won't give a toss about abuse being hurled at him by supporters To categorize people who are trying to do their job under stress as 'clowns' really shows class, try being a bit constructive rather than destructive
  10. Is that the only feeback I get, sort of proves my point doesn't it, the game plan is basic
  11. Yes GWS Let me preface what I am going to say, by saying I went to Crown to watch the game on the big screen, I walked out 5 minutes before half time, absolutely disgusted by what I saw Unfortunately for the next few days we are going to have topic after topic, with page after page of the same thing, what is it going to achieve, nothing, personally I regard the playing list as a shot duck mentally, it is going to take a lot of hard work to get it anywhere near being a conistent side But I also don't think drastic changes to anything at the Club is going to be the answer. I think the problem is nobody, from the President downwards, has any idea why, when we send a side out who have been professionally prepared with structures and game plan in place, it all falls to bits so easily, does anybody on here apart from blaming the coach, we are fit enough, we have enought skilful players.....it is not the game plan, because that is so basic....so what is it, it is not the players not playing for Neeld, that is a cop out You can see Neeld and his team being as frustrated as the supporters, he doesn't want to have the whole team behind the ball for the whole game, but we needed it yesterday The only glimmer of hope yesterday and I didn't watch it, was the report we went back to some semblance of structures etc in the third quarter, the playrers pulled their finger out and we actually won a quarter We have some talent on our list, but to see them not produce it is galling
  12. We have an inexperienced list, why is it the worst?, the results at the moment, yes, the results going forward, who knows, maybe not Why is Hannath a better prospect? Spencer is developing nicely Decent sized injury list, 3 at the moment I think, what Clark who is a KPF and Grimes who is a defender or midfielder and Viney, so Bail and Nicholson are getting games because those three are out? Gawn is sitting in Clark's spot and Magner came in for Viney, and Strauss when Grimes went down Tynan is still very young, true his progress seems to have stalled at the moment but he has had injury/body issues, so perhaps there is a reason, where do you get the "he can't kick" or is that just the usual MFC malaise
  13. Because it is Demonland and some of the permanent rain cloud wearers on this board couldn't praise something if their life depended on it, it pleases me to see your excellent post As for the rest of the season, Aaron wants to prove a point, expect the form to continue
  14. Whilst I can see where you are coming from, but again, you are looking at guys who will have had 2 years of the Neeld system (unless of course you assume Neeld won't be there next year) so you then want to throw 10 of them away, and start again And as you have listed mostly midfielders, small forwards on your list and topic title, why would you get rid of Spencer a ruckman, and tall defenders in Sellar and Pedersen What exactly is wrong with Tynan? And Bail and Nicholson are regulars in the 22 at the moment so could you really see them being cut adrift if Neeld is still at MFC? Brian Royal has said they would love another quality midfielder, I would personally not consider any of those you listed as a "quality midfielder"
  15. Surely Anthony would be classified as a "battler" if he can't get a game at Norths, I thought everybody didn't like getting players from other teams Why are we putting so much time and effort in to Josh Tynan, Rory Taggert, Dean Kent, Dom Barry, Sam Blease, Mitch Clisby, Nathan Stark, assume you think they won't be at the Club next year?
  16. Realise that you only do that to the players, how about saying what you posted to Aaron Davey's face? What? can't get you to bite, how disappointing, I was soooooo looking forward to it
  17. This is correct, they were taught the technique by one of the best John Muggleton, but if you don't make the extra effort to stick the technique or don't hit it with the necessary grunt, you will fall off the tackle, against Richmond it improved, hopefully we will see the same or better against Freo. Personal opinion, we have four in the team at the moment who put the necessary 'grunt' into tackles on a consistent basis, Jetta, Tapscott, McKenzie and Terlich and to a lesser extent Davey, N Jones and Magner hopefully they can lead the way for the rest of the team to follow
  18. What through the bottom of a glass? Try reading the article, might help clear the fog a bit, although I doubt it, you always 100% on your game are you? No matter what
  19. With apologies to the mods thought this board was more of a kakistocracy
  20. Because I'm not, your nickname signify your outlook on life does it? You gonna go anywhere near the topic or just have a go at me, let me know, I love jousting
  21. So you didn't read the article or listen to what Mark Neeld said, but you still thought you could post this, pathetic, your norm though
  22. Totally agree with you sir, nice to see the topic back on track, if you ask the players they are told "take the game on, if you make a mistake, try and fix it, if you can't, forget it, get to the next contest"
  23. Thanks bloke, some of the posters on here have no idea who are they are dealing with sometimes and they run off at the mouth expecting nothing but a torrent of agreement. Er no, you are probably in the same boat as me, been either playing or watching footy for close to 40 years, so do know a bit about footy and life About Neeld, think he is still learning about communication, evolving shall we say, I know at the moment he can barely contain his contempt for some journos in his pressers, there are obvious reasons for that. Think he is stuck at the moment and trying to do sound bites to please everybody, in public, behind closed doors I think it is an entirely different picture, have spoken to a few players and they love the fact they know exactly where they stand within the Club and the 'honest feedback'.
  24. Basically as far as I can see the team has two issues at the moment Inexperience at AFL level And mental baggage for some players, left over from the last two or three years, the ability to overcome this comes through maturity, but dealing with guys who are in late teens or early twenties exacerbates the issue As far as actual training, from what I have seen and heard from last couple of weeks, we have been working solely on the contested work, which is good, as we need to make sure we get our hands on the ball in the first place, or get the other team to turn it over If we do that I can see that the next step at the moment is to get it into the good ball users hands, we saw this last weekend with Davey and Terlich. I believe away from the glare of publicity and open training sessions, all players are working overtime on their disposal skills, Garland being one who is showing improvement, again a lot of this is mental, if you stuff it up once, you are prone to do it again, hence Dunn's run of horrible kick ins, yet he was one of the better more conistent disposers previously As mentioned by Neeld, Davey, who we all agree is on his day an elite disposer by foot, is playing his role in developing the team's foot skills We also need to spread better, again I have seen drills at training that are focused on this particular area. We will get it right eventually, I am like everybody else would prefer it now rather than later, but because I do go to training, talk to the coaches and players, listen to commentators/pundits who actually know what they are talking about, discuss with other footy followers whose opinion I value, I am willing to be a bit more patient than some on this board Yes we lost the Richmond game, but some of the signs were good, not great, but they were there Now I want to see a repeat if not a betterment against Fremantle I just get a bit bored with the naysays such as Old Dee and his "the Club is doomed call", we have brought in a highly experienced CEO in Peter Jackson, I want to see what he has got to say in four or five months before forming any opinions myself
  25. So 1 error in 4 qtrs of good footy by him, and outrun by somebody 12 years his junior, unforgiveable, can see where you were going with this, but hey it was a good news story about a guy who has battled for the last couple of years, but pulled his head in and got on with it, I can lilve with the 1 error....I'm sure he won't do it this week
