  1. [censored].....now what do I do with the three jumpers with nr 39 on, sad but probably inevitable, just couldn't get a run at it, tried his guts out everytime he played for either the Dees or Casey, and yes he was a bloody nice bloke....got 40 games in, so wasn't the spud some on here think.......... wouldn't surprise if he headed home to the west.......best mate Jamie Bennell now back on the Eagles list, they may look at him as well....
  2. The problem with young Toump last year was he put so much expectation on himself and the harder he tried the worst it got........went back to Casey, settled down and put some really good games together, looks really sharp at training Old Dee I agree but Max Gawn is 2 years behind in his development than where he should be due to the two knees, he does need as much of the pre season he can get.......it is a bloody enourmous hamstring to tweak unfortunately
  3. They also encourage me to take breaks during the day to check out what the Demonland posters, who have a 12yr old writing their scripts, have posted, checked, back to work
  4. When has Tapscott not had a niggling injury? He really does need a clean run at it Kent damaged himself towards the end of the season, can't remember which bit, nice to see the Clark will not be back till after the second bye talk has stopped, managed to get a picture of him, running nicely, going to post it on my twitter
  5. I say chap, going completely off topic some what, you never heard of the GFC, *some of us Baby Boomers have the same level of pathological hatred of Lehman Bros exectives as some posters on here have towards an administration whose name shall not be said)..........the more you had, the more you lost.........my pina colada has to wait for a few years yet, I am sitting in an office pretending to be productive like everybody else.............I get to training coz I have too much leave built up and I am encouraged to use it
  6. That would be a first for cricket at Gosch's, I looked the other day, when the helicopter decided to have a lie down the other day at the Pies ground, they had to use Gosch's instead perhaps there was a bit of damage done and they have to repair before we get on there,
  7. No I asked Misson about this, and he repeated in his vid on website, players are in and out of AAMI all the time, official 18 Nov for all other players, but I wouldn't think any of them are sitting at home with their feet up, new Coach, new regime.....as Howie said on Wednesday "first impressions".......on Fitzy, with his diabetes, he is probably on his own program
  8. Ben McEvoy says hello, sort of shoots your argument down, one of the worst ruckman for stoppages in the game at the moment but grabbed with both hands by Clarkson, and we all know what a rubbish judge of a player he is
  9. So do I, if there is anybody who has played footy at any level saying they have never ducked, stepped out of a contest etc etc at least once in their playing days, either they never played or they are lying Dunn has had the Demonland target removed from his forehead and it seems to have found a new home with Pedo, I see him as a solid back up tall defender, who hasn't palyed 30 games yet, he has a lot of upside.....
  10. The Toump was in anguish coz he had made an effort to catch Tommy Mc, who let him guts it out to get on his shoulder and then changed up a gear and cruised away, which I loved, for a guy with a strange running gait Tommy can really move, Fitzy is another one, for a guy managing diabetes, apart from the regurgitation of the water, he looked in really good nick
  11. No he was fine, in the 'rehab group', but didn't seem to be struggling at all, they all did a lateral test, and they all had no problem with it, you know the knees up going sideways for about four steps, I was actually baffled why Viney was there, but couldn't be bothered asking, Hogan was there because of his knee, think it was all just precaution, Evans had his foot and Dyson a thigh, if you want to look at my Twitter account which is Demonpk, there is a picture of Michie looking 'miserable' at being at the Dees
  12. Sorry for late reply, had to get back to reality....didn't say body shape...talking about his running....saw him first day last year and he struggled, his words yesterday as well, obviously been putting the miles in.....if you actually follow them on Twitter, when they are on holiday....you get pics of the gym in the hotel they are staying in, or where they went for a run, Nathan Jones who is due back in two weeks tweeted he went for a lrun yesterday.....footy is so professional these days, they may be 'on holiday', but the fitness never stops
  13. When I spoke to Howie, this is the impression I got, he knows Roos is an admirer but he wants to be more than the 'speccy kid'.........I was with another supporter who goes to training a lot including the very first day and what we both saw was that the last year Howie looked nothing like today, he has worked his arse off in the break As for training reports what you get from me is facts and optimism but i am also a realist, I just don't bag players, coaches, teams.......will try and get down quite regularly and speak to the players....that way we get a bit of colour in the reports.....next time is 18th when everybody comes back......
  14. That was analysis,......somehow you have turned two guys battling in heat on the first day back at training against two 'elite' runners into they are not up to it and could possibly have an attitude problem....I understand there are some Melbourne supporters who will always consider the glass half empty..................I 'll put it more politely....that assumption beggars belief....I was there I stood next to Clisby whilst he dry retched at the end of one run.....
  15. I hope not., and so does Howie, spoke to him today, running improvement is all about getting bit more into midfield and wing.....let's not waste him down back......
  16. With all due respect, some of what you are saying is twaddle
  17. They were in a group with McDonald who is probably one of the top runners at the Club, and Toumpas who was known for his running at junior level, both M Jones and Clisby gutsed it out. At one point I was stood near where the runs finished, the runners watiing were encouraging Toumpas to catch McDonald, he couldn't do it, does that mean he wasn't trying I was actually shocked that they did the 300 repeat runs on the first morning
  18. Clark...the tall guy with the tatts right?.....I have a photo of him in the air grabbing a mark in the kick to kick...
  19. Boys and girls, we will have to tie Clark up in the stands to stop him playing Round 1, which bit don't people get, he ran, kicked, marked, jumpred etc etc for close on 2 hours today without a problem. The reason he was supposedly running last in the 300 was he was running with Maia Westrupp encouraging him As for Trengove, he had no problems in the group he was running with, suffice to say Grimes made a point of finishing first each time, he was also the most tired at the end, Trengove, Howe and Nicholson recovered better As for Pederson, never understood the issue with his body shape, if he was overweight he would be not playing AFL, again watched him take the GPS unit off which means removing shirt, has no excess baggage, he is just big bodied
  20. I got there at the beginning and stayed till stumps Before the hand wringing starts, Clark was fine, he took part in the kick to kick, he was doing work to instructions, at the end of the 300 metre runs he ran with Maia Westrupp to encourage him, which I thought was great, got a big hello and a beaming smile from him at the beginning of the session Standout for me in the running was Howe, after watching so much training in the past, had to ask him, said he had been working over the break and "first impressions count" Evans and Dyson were working with Viney, Hogan, Michie and Tapscott, Spencer and McDonald were separate as well Evans and Dyson left early (Tyson reported a bit of hamstring tightness), Viney, Hogan and Michie did some runs together (a couple with Tapscott) and Spencer and McDonald joined in the 300's Michie and Tyson are both big bodied Had the wonderful pleasure of speaking to both Jack Viney and Jesse Hogan, they want the season to start tomorrow, asked Jesse if they are trying to shackle him to make sure he doesn't do too much like Jack, laughed. called Viney "the action man" One bit I saw and liked was Roos mimicking to Dave Misson, Jesse Hogan's strut Roos, Miller and somebody else when for a run after the session, looked like they were heading to the tan. Any questions feel free to ask
  21. No that is actually correct, I researched it, the first thing they want to know is how large is the membership database, it is the strongest selling point, hence why Colliongwood and Richmond have no trouble attracting sponsors no matter how bad they are travelling.........haven't seen sponsors suddenly jumping off the Pies coz Buckley said there is a culture problem....have you?
  22. It is on the website at being at 9am, haven't had a morning off from work since August, so may wander down there, I can take photos but no idea how to upload them onto here, so a bit of techo help would be appreciated
  23. There you go WYL we finally agree on something....but you won't stop the keyboard warriors with 20/20 hindsight pontificating for three or four pages, most having coached or led at the highest level they know exactly what they are talking about.......hah
  24. Sponsors look for one thing, the number of members on the database that they have access to, because we are up and down and mostly down in the last few years, the fairweather supporters have been on and off the database, not a very attractive proposition to sponsors....the fact the numbers are good this year might be enough to attract, but we are still a hard sell...anyway as somebody said all contracts expire 31st October
