  1. A clue? One of my early bosses used to call me "kerp head" He had a high opinion of me.
  2. Wow, if that bulge is his kerp, its bigger than i thought. Maybe he can make movies if he fails at footy?
  3. None of the above, although i cant be absolutely sure what most of them mean.
  4. Must have a massive kerp
  5. Thats not quite right 'S I was warned, with great carry on, when i stated to another ex ology poster that we would not last long on here, with the way it is moderated Over the top, and hysterical, I thought. I quite like it here, as the footy talk eats ology alive, as there are only a handful of really good posters who regularly contribute over there. The training reports by Nick however, are great, and well worth a read. Pay a visit to the general board once it is in full swing again, to remind yourself why you like it more here.
  6. More likely the heavy handed mods here drive people away. Ology has been around for years, and some are more comfortable expressing their opinion without the risk of a ban. I like visiting here, but more often than not i choose not to post as 1particular mod can carry on like he thinks he is the supreme being. Also, ology has had enough of its mini wars, involving the same 2 or 3 people. Why come here and repeat the process? Im hoping that the new blood, including the Land boys, will refresh the place, and bring it back to footy, instead of boring yachting and music threads..
  7. Ive seen WYL while surrounded by Filipina Beach girls, and he was a gentleman. .......I cant be like that. I hope my kinfolk on 'Ology are wrong, but Im not happy to read what they are saying.
  8. Shepparton United Football Club 11 flags, including a clean sweep of all 3 grades in 1980
  9. I reckon Sydney supporters may take issue with that. Has anyone had a look at Shae McNamaras website? It shows fantastic athletic abilities, and the kicking abilty of your 6 year old sister.
  10. Main thing I got from that is that she needs to charge her phone. Good wireless reception but.
  11. You really have no idea Rob....... I rated Grgic. I thought after watching first hand, his big game against Colinwood, that we had a star on our hands. *blush*
  12. I have nothing. I just really loved the thread title. *like* (actually, i called Troy Davis an All Aust C.H.B after seeing 1 training session) I think that qualifies.
  13. Thats bs mate. Your family only has 6 months to give you a reason good enough not to go. You are gunna miss seeing the first person ever to be charged with Grievous bodily harm on a football field. Oh well, you can read about it the next day, if your family is ok with you reading a newspaper.
  14. Great, we find the toughest nugget in years, who loves smashing the base of packs, and now he can be penalised for it. Not a fan of the below the knee rule at all.
  15. The bar is in full swing mate. Let me know when you are heading that way again. I'm back for 6 weeks nov/dec. :-) Beamer loved the club, he just saw things differently to our coaching staff. I think he will be a good pickup for Brisbane.
  16. Was at Brisbane airport last night, waiting for the same plane as Beamer. He looked fit, and the smile, as well as his iPhone, didn't leave his head for the hour or so that he was there. He was with a sickly, smirking character, who might have been his manager. I took an instant dislike to him. Chewing gum like he was some big shot Baseball manager or something. Looked like the sort of bloke who carries a knife in his sock......... Don't know why I bothered posting that. Anyway............... Good luck Beamer, I hope everything works out well for you.
  17. I know a bloke who has a brother on the board. He tells me that the Bombers are making a huge play for Rory Taggert. Apparently their spotters took a keen interest after scouting the couple of games that Rory played for Casey. From what I read on 'Land, he was quite impressive, and got plenty of the ball. I guess it shows the value of having a well resourced football department. Their early offer was a 3rd round pick, but we told them to go jump. He also added that his brother thought it was unlikely to happen, but that he couldn't count it out, as the Bombers has been sniffing every week, and had also sent some of their heavy hitters for a face to face with Rory. Would be interesting to see what players are eventually offered, although essendon are usually very hard to deal with.
  18. And yet Freo are out of it, and the Crows play for a spot in a grand final this week? I'm sure he would be saying something else behind closed doors.
  19. My two boys were not given a choice. Their mum was Collingwood, but too thick to attempt to swing them. It was an expectation in my house that, if you follow football, you follow the dees. I still buy memberships each year for them, even though they are both adults now, and they don't get too excited at the thought of sitting down and watching a game with me, but you can see that enough interest is there, just waiting for a spark to re ignite the passion. My Nephew however, is a crazed obsessed meathead when it comes to the Dee, just like me and my Brother, and simply Lives for anything Red and Blue. He introduced his girlfriend to the game, and swung her over, and it kills him to have moved to Perth, and have to suffer through the over the top guff, that folks from the west have shoved down their throat about West Coke. (Chook from Perth, is it really that bad? He says they even interrupt radio broadcasts, to let the public know that the Eagles plane has taken off for an interstate game) Dad, Brother, Sister who converted from Norf recently, both of my sons, nephew, 3 nieces, and a swag of uncles follow Melbourne, probably because we grew up in the old Zone in the G.V I agree with the statement that you have failed if your kids don't follow us. they should not be given a choice. Appreciate that it is getting harder to hold onto them, which is why we need to start putting wins on the board soon. Edit for stupid iPad spelling
  20. Love it!! So you lost the house, car, and a good deal of your future income, but the little one is a Dee? Reason to smile every time CSA dips into your pocket.
  21. read the second line of my post for your answer.
  22. It's a hypothetical. Why the angst? It's worth looking at every option, to get he best for the club out of this draft. Ok, this suggestion is maybe a little crazy, but why not ask the question anyway? It's free to ask isn't it?
  23. We want hard inside, ball-getting mids I wonder where we can find one? I have a feeling we will be forced into pick 3. I'm hoping I am wrong, and we can bluff our way out of it
  24. I say we try every dirty trick in the book, to buy gws/gc off, and get him second round. Telling him to sit out another year would be a slap in the face, and I suspect he would punch MFC square on the jaw if it was suggested to him. I'm one of those who get excited at draft time. (cos our crapness gives us good picks) Picks 3/4, 12, Viney and a couple of randoms, would almost be worth taking the day off for............... God I wish we were good again.
  25. And never a truer word spoken. Its ok, as long as you never tell anyone about it. doh....................
