Interesting observation
I take as a sign of a 'good team' thats learning. Much like we went from learning defence to learning attack .... Once upon a time, we didn't get tackled because we didn't have the ball... Now we have the ball..... So now we get tackled! ... Next we learn how to not get tackled, OR get tackled but keep possession.
Its all good. At this time of the year how can you think otherwise.
Cheers and happy festive season all demonlanders

Very happy for him. Love this guy. Flys under the radar a bit but i really think (and hope) he could be something..... Any way.... what else could you do. It frees up a Rookie spot and no one better was on the cards to fill a list spot
I'd love to see this guy succeed.

Did you raise your concerns when we acquired Cross on the same terms?
Ummmm...... No.
I didnt know that.....
My indignation often exceeds my mastery of the evidence
I withdraw
But i do think there is a potential for abuse along the lines detailed by Pates....
Watch this space.....

It's a bit weird there were rumours floating around of a 4 time premiership Hawks player coming to the Dees just a few days ago, then this news lands (which is a bombshell in its own right).
Yze?
Bruce?
But yes .... interesting (rhymes with spin)

If S Mitchell goes to WC and part of that decision is 'a promise' of a coaching job at the end of playing..... that is absolutely corrupting/ abusing the salary cap ...
If he is offered 400K for 12 months ... he doesn't go
If he is offered 400K for 12 months AND 200K pa for 2 yrs as a coach after that,,, he goes!
The coaching salary is not in the salary cap but is part of the payers decision to move
It stinks
AND the promised 'Coaching' might end up being on tuesday night a fortnight....
Stinks!!

What do the Bulldogs do that makes them so good
They RUN and they handball FAST
When they have the ball they create space for the next in line receiver, ie they dont all run TO the ball. Most run away from the best receiver ....
When they dont have the ball they move in and crowd the ball and the likely next receiver of the opposition.
They are fantastically well coached. ,... An absolutely modern coach indeed
Good luck to them

That turned out alright

I am 57 yrs old, 6'3'', 105 Kg
I have followed Melbourne since 1964
I can kick equally well with both feet (not well,.... but equally well)
My game is more 'Jacko' than 'Jezza'
I have no injuries, my drug screen is negative, other than antihypertensives and panadol and chardonnay
FOR God's SAKE. TAKE ME OVER TRAVIS!!!!!!

Which of our players (including the 3 amigos of course) is most likely to won our next Brownlow.
Which is a different question to who is best i accept
But, I reckon Watts by a mile, then Petracca then ..... Tyson?

That Wines kid might be something
Sorry

Dont wish to go early
But
When did we last win 3 games in a row?

Go into a game expecting to win.......... You lose
Demons V Essendon, Saints V GC today etc etc
To a mere punter and fan like myself its so obviously very much played above the ears
What the good teams do, Hawks etc.... that we dont yet do..... is play HARD whoever the opposition
Dont pick and choose
Or is it more complicated than that

Watts is going to kick around 35 goals himself this year, but his skills, class and smarts will create at least that many more for his team mates.
I am involved at a different AFL club and i can tell you the respect for Jack outside the MFC has gone through the roof this year, he would have attracted significant interest if he remained unsigned.
Hmmmmm .............Interesting. Anything else for us ....?

I am stunned that Eddie still doesnt get it.
His comments were sexist and obscene and definitely part of the problem
Caroline Wilson says so, and as the recipient her view is all that matters
Phil Cleary on ABC today made it very clear... this behaviour of 'the boys club' remains part of the problem .... and we still have a long way tp go and a lot of learning to come.
AFL's response was OK but very soft...
Listening to Dermie on SEN 'explain things .... a la 'it was just a joke' made me feel unwell.

Wow
Forgive guys (and girls?)
He must feel like an absolute Dxxx. I'm sure the attitude of the team will be to embrace and support, not punish... but equally make it clear that next time it is 'bye bye fella'.
Plenty of dxxxheads have come good and won Brownlows and Premierships
He will be a champion
