  1. That is a very fair offer for a player who did not figure in the Crows' top ten in their Best and Fairest and who scored one Brownlow vote (same as Oscar McDonald)!
  2. More than fair for a bloke that didn't figure in their top ten in their B&F!
  3. Because 10 and 27 is simple and Watts and Lever are both known qualities and would augment our best 22!
  4. I'd be happy to spend the next five years "on the couch" for half that! ?
  5. It is also highly optimistic (but I like the way you think)!
  6. We possibly don't need Garland if we retain Frost and get Lever. My suggestion was that we retain him 'off the MFC books' and let him continue the role that he has been playing at the Casey Demons!
  7. Surely we would pay out Garland (and then maybe Casey could draft him in a player / development coach role)? I would also be happy to hang on to Frost and maybe throw in a second round pick as a sweetener for Adelaide. No problems with retaining Keilty on the rookie list for a further year.
  8. Frankly, I would rather sacrifice two first rounders and keep Watts (and Frost)! Watts has been here through the bad times and (recent matches aside) was really showing what he was capable of over the last twelve months. Like Hogan, he can be a game-changer when on fire and I would hate to see that happen with Carlton of all teams. i would rather lose pick 12 this year and (optimistically) pick 18 next year and have both Lever and Watts helping us make a serious tilt at the 2018 Premiership!
  9. It's worked in Collingwood's favour many times. Certainly it has been a long time since people chose to go to Collingwood to secure a Premiership!
  10. Grew up as an Essendon supporter (assumption based on his father's team) so I could image that he might consider there first.
  11. But faster and younger!
  12. Sounds like a good deal to me (as long as we don't sacfrice a good player instead of draft picks)! By all reports, he has the pace and the hardness that would augment our midfield plus he is the right age!
  13. Considering we will have pick 18, what trade do you envisage to get a pick around 12-14? ?
  14. Flanagan didn't seem to notice it in his article yesterday which seemed to praise nearly every other star on our list!
  15. Updated (someone had to)!
  16. Heppell as Captain and plans to "lead by example"! Please spare us.
  17. I thought Hamish Brayshaw was on the list? Surprised that he wasn't picked up?
  18. So who do we have in mind at 47?
  19. I like the way you think but why exactly are we giving Essendon our pick 57 when they would do the deal for pick 29 alone?
  20. We can offer to take Parish and/or Daniher as well if it would assist them.
  21. It is taking a while for this to sink in with some people. Not negotiable!
  22. Last year's round two pick for Melksham was hardly a WIN-WIN, when we were unable to play him. Next year's round two for Hibberd is more than fair (no steak knives)!
  23. His endurance can be addressed in a pre-season but rightly he deserves to stay in our system. It would be a travesty if he ended up elsewhere and we got no compensation!
  24. Can we focus on discussing Melksham (and Hibberd?) as a footballer and what value he/they will bring to the Melbourne side in 2017? I am absolutely fatigued by all this endless debate on EFC and their drug culture! It's over: let's get back to Melbourne!
