  1. Sounds like a good deal to me (as long as we don't sacfrice a good player instead of draft picks)! By all reports, he has the pace and the hardness that would augment our midfield plus he is the right age!
  2. Considering we will have pick 18, what trade do you envisage to get a pick around 12-14? ?
  3. Flanagan didn't seem to notice it in his article yesterday which seemed to praise nearly every other star on our list!
  4. Updated (someone had to)!
  5. Heppell as Captain and plans to "lead by example"! Please spare us.
  6. I thought Hamish Brayshaw was on the list? Surprised that he wasn't picked up?
  7. So who do we have in mind at 47?
  8. I like the way you think but why exactly are we giving Essendon our pick 57 when they would do the deal for pick 29 alone?
  9. We can offer to take Parish and/or Daniher as well if it would assist them.
  10. It is taking a while for this to sink in with some people. Not negotiable!
  11. Last year's round two pick for Melksham was hardly a WIN-WIN, when we were unable to play him. Next year's round two for Hibberd is more than fair (no steak knives)!
  12. His endurance can be addressed in a pre-season but rightly he deserves to stay in our system. It would be a travesty if he ended up elsewhere and we got no compensation!
  13. Can we focus on discussing Melksham (and Hibberd?) as a footballer and what value he/they will bring to the Melbourne side in 2017? I am absolutely fatigued by all this endless debate on EFC and their drug culture! It's over: let's get back to Melbourne!
  14. Apart from Melksham, and despite not having a first Round pick (and apparently committing our second pick for Hibberd), I think that Jason Tayloris going to rock the AFL World again this trading period with a major coup out of left field!
  15. Frankly, after giving up our second round pick last year for Melksham, I am really disinclined to repeat the exercise this year, particularly when we don't have a first round pick. I would love Hinberd to threaten to walk for breach of contract and offer them the option of fighting it or taking our fourth round pick.
  16. Just hope that his good SA mate, ANB, shows the same development and also becomes an integral part going forward!

And Dunn and Pedersen ! Then they would have the basis of a backline and a Forwardline!

Personally, l feel a number of those referred to above have done a sterling job at VFL level (however victims of our list improvement overall). Casey winning a Premiership this year can only be good for the Melbourne Demons (as per Box Hill Hawks) and the guys moving through our list. I would love to see Terlich, Michie, Newton, etc given decent contracts by Casey and the Scorpions becoming a "Powerhouse" in the VFL, playing the Demons game plan. Keep the boys together! ANB I would keep as I don't think that we have seen the best he has to offer yet!
  19. I winced watching those passages of play, especially the Kent sideways kick away from the goals.
  20. We should engage a good cosmetic surgeon to make Melksham resemble Terlich then play him in our backline. The AFL doesn't have player fingerprints or DNA so it might just work. Terls can have a holiday.
  21. It would have been massive if he had kicked nine (instead of one behind and one out on the full from set shots)!
  22. So nice to see Viney leading the Herald-Sun "Player of the Year" award (leading Patrick Dangerfield)!
  23. At least we beat the Pies playing "away" at the "G"! The AFL should be thanked for giving us a home ground advantage against the in-form Saints (an opponent to be feared/respected in comparison to the rabble of the last two weeks)! p.s. This time next week I am looking forward to beating our three-match hoodoo and achieving a record membership for our efforts.
