Particularly as the starting 18 at the Casey Demons are overwhelmingly Viney’s Melbourne Demons teammates!

Maybe the Casey Demons will profit from his charisma (and Hunt’s pace) against the unbeaten Box Hill Hawks?

There are probably occasions when we can utilise a “mossie fleet” utilising our interchanges and bring back Salem and Viney, however the inevitable will mean that our ‘best 22’ (out of 44] will never be available as our ‘injury list’ swells/retracts. Nice thought though! ? Goodwin and the FD will just have pick the best players who are match-fit on the day!

At the moment, Jetta, Lever and Vince are still in our bottom six, T. Mac hasn’t started climbing and Viney hasn’t even approached the ladder (along with Baker et al)! It makes for an interesting finish!

With no first round pick in 2018 or 2019, I am not sure how you intend to get Lynch, Gaff and Sloane (or why you would trade out Hogan and Gawn, two of our most popular and talented players)? Even with the most convoluted trade deal imaginable, I am not sure that our FD will run with it!

Thank God for the five players we brought in. Four of them kicked the majority of our goals! ?

I was feeling so positive 24 hours ago! My team had a great playing list, few injuries and great depth. Our list was so healthy that the previous week the Casey Demons’ starting eighteen comprised 100% AFL listed players and kicked 28 goals. The previous week we had smashed the Kangas (and the accompanying hoodoo)! We had a great coach and a well-resourced coaching structure. We were destined for the finals for the first time since 2006. (and I had just enjoyed a nice lunch in the Long Room)! Then we were comprehensively demolished by Hawthorn! I have decided to not go onto Demonland again until after we have won three matches in a row! ?

It will be nice seeing Casey bump the Tigers off the top of the VFL ladder (at the expense of Port Melbourne)!
