  1. Yes I think Casey Demons recruits will depend on who stays from current list. Apparently Mitch Gent is back after a year in the local league.
  2. yes it would be interesting if MFC put him on long term injury list. maybe opportunity to upgrade rookie if Smith/Kielty/White show good pre season form
  3. nothing to see here... keep the coin and chase Josh Kelly from GWS
  4. I hope Col gets his life together. Great bloke. Always happy to help with MFC footy clinics and events. Maybe needs a "steady female influence" in his life.
  5. Good work. Though Dees 2nd round choice in National Draft was traded out to acquire Hibberd from the Dees. We virtually got Lewis for the swap of 3rd /4th round picks. ie. a free trade IMO.
  6. Reportedly will now train with Northern Blues over the summer. He is a talent and will be someone to keep a watch on.
  7. I think Casey Scorps should contact Hamish Brayshaw and six high potential Stingrays that missed out on draft/rookie picks Bailey Morrish Mason De Wit Thomas Glen Matthew LaFontaine Danny Allsopp Reece Piper I saw Stingrays in 2016 and amazed that Morrish and Piper did not get drafted or rookied. Hope Casey can provide the next opportunity.
  8. Yes. Agree he deserves a chance and should get some action in the pre season games. The alignment had a great 2016.
  9. Darcy Cameron would have been a great get... he was available at 46. 200cm Key fwd/ruck. Very agile. Good kick. Perfect for our needs. Plays like Rory Lobb/Peter Wight. I still think Hannan would have been available at 64... and Johnstone was a rookie at best.
  10. Agree Johnstone takes the small pressure forward development opportunity.
  11. Great write up... hope to add Bailey Morrish or Louis Cunningham as rookies.
  12. I think MFC will grab either Oscar Mcinnnerney or Jack Hannath as mature options. However they could see the potential in developing Tony Olango (this kid could be better than Natanui) or Peter Ladhams.
  13. Yes. Maybe we will get it right this time. But its a 60s pick ... not pick 19 like Strauss.
  14. Agree Oscar Mcinnnerneyyyyy is a big chance as a backup rookie option.
  15. Easily some very talented youngsters undrafted that I think will definitely earn a rookie opportunity. Sometimes the motivation drives them more than the drafted selections. Louis Cunningham Sam Walker Brodie Romensky Oscar Junker Jeremy Goddard Bailey Morrish Hamish Brayshaw Lachlan Walker Oliver Hanrahan Jonty Scharenberg and a few more
  16. wow. Saw Chargers about 6 times this year. Louis Cunningham was a standout in every game. Saw Johnstone in 2 games but not a standout. Bizarre choice
  17. pick #1... from obscurity. Not even in many top 50 in May. He will be a Star.
  18. Ben Jarman at pick 68... anyone? thoughts? it would get the media interested and be a story. From all accounts, the kid has the talent. Just needs to stretch 3cms and 7 kgs.
  19. Hoping for Darcy Cameron or Willem Drew but I think they will go top 40. At 51 ... likely players to be available Bailey Morrish Louis Cunningham Tom Williamson Liam Ryan Hamish Brayshaw Jeremy Goddard Brodie Romensky At 69 Sam McLarty Patrick Lipinski Lachlan Walker Josh Begley Smokies... Alex Mastromanno and Josh Scott Succes rate after pick 30 is about 5% so its a lottery !!
  20. Agree. We got dudded again. Hope BenKen lifts a notch in 2017
