  1. Thanks LN, i heard it today off a mate who has some insiders at Carlton, so thought maybe there was some interest from there. on that notes he also told me the board is pretty set on Teague, but Judd wants Voss, and is concerned about teague being part of a "Failed regime" make of that what you will, just what he told me.
  2. Have heard rumours of Jennings wanting out/ being moved on and Bolten being on the radar, not sure if anyone has heard this?
  3. I wonder how Brad Scott compares in terms of levels of interest? you don't see too much about clubs asking about him.
  4. we should, i agree. but they absoltuely won't.
  5. Some coaches just don't make great senior coaches for some reason, Alan Richardson is a great bloke, great football person and would be a tremendous asset to the MFC. i suspect though Macca leaving won't be the only change. i'm thinking it'll be a pretty significant shake up with several coaches and staff members moving on. it also shouldn't be lost that Macca has made a very positive contribution to the club in his development role, and no doubt the early career form of Petracca, Brayshaw and Oliver to name a few can in part be credited to his coaching.
  6. Perhaps we'd have to sweaten the deal. but i think pick 9 is not the worst place to start negotiations.
  7. Sam Mitchell didn't disrupt Hawthorns entire midfield structure, our midfield looks clearly better without Jack in it, but he walks into the side, and captaincy because his sir name is Viney. if his sir name was Brayshaw he'd 100% be on the trade block.
  8. the trades i'd be looking at would be Pick 3 & 21 to the Fremantle Dockers for Brad Hill, Ed Langdon, pick 9 Pick 9 to the GCS for Ben King if he indeed wants out. Future first rounder - appeal given the chance it's a pick 1-4 for a 2019 first rounder to use in the draft. even if we have to include something to get it over the line.
  9. Our midfield looks it's best when it's Oliver, Brayshaw and Harmes tagging and running off. Speed, toughness and i think better skills. Viney i would try as a pressure forward but otherwise if it was my call i'd say he would be a trade option given he'd have decent value. i agree, he upsets the balance quite a bit, if he's in the midfield it's his midfield he turns any structure into chaos which is great if he wins it, horrible if he doesn't because everyone is out of position.
  10. Brayshaws form has dropped because he's carrying an injury and bravely playing through the pain, and is also playing out of position because we have no outside run. this is why he also hasn't been dropped because the club knows his form slump isn't just related to him. I hope this hasn't smacked up his confidence too much and he's able to bounce back hard in 2020 with more time in the guts. Viney won't be, but should be ahead of Brayshaw on the trade table. we've seen the best Jack is going to be in my opinion, hard as nails midfielder, but limited, one dimensional and skills that are not up to AFL standard.
  11. Our game plan is outdated. all of the top sides play a forward half game and moved the ball more conservatively. sorry Simon but you and tactical guru Craig Jennings are a step behind the competition so changes need to be made.
  12. Personally i'm backing Sam Weideman to come good, i don't mind the idea of Roughy, but probably as a development coach to help them out. the one i'd be targeting as the third forward who i think is extremely talented and gettable is Darcy Foggarty.
  13. He's only safe because his Sir name is Viney.
  14. Petracca is a very good AFL player suffering under the expectations of being a superstar, and i still think he would get there. he's the number 2 ranked general forward in the AFL, right up there in ground balls, getting 20 odd touches and kicking goals most games. he'd be in conversations although will probably miss out on the all australian squad. Personally i'd love to see him boost his running and play more midfield time but he's tracking along nicely.
  15. Aaron Francis has put talks on hold at the Bombers due to concerns they have no long term key position role for him. i think he's someone that could improve our side at either end of the ground.
  16. I think he'd benefit a lot more from improving his mobility. we know he can mark and kick but i think the biggest thing is he doesn't get involved in enough contests and goes missing. build his tank and set his KPI next year to be involved in x amount of contests per quarter with his talent he is going to win or halve a lot of them and i think if he can do that he will very quickly become the key forward we desperately need. he's shown flashes.
  17. Do we want to play him as a forward? i don't get it.
  18. 100% if we could get him and Betts for a decent price i reckon that'd be a good result.
  19. If Jacks sir name wasn't Viney would be be in trade discussions? he's one dimensional, injury prone and we have too many of that type of player. he'd have currency on the trade table.
  20. 100% i would. i genuinely believe a lot of his issues this year have had more to do with the crows setup than him, if we could nab him cheaply i'd 100% go for it.
  21. I'm really not sure who we should look at, it's a tricky one. someone like Peter Wright from the Suns would be great if we could convince him to leave.
  22. He might as well already be wearing brown and gold mate, we are zero chance.
  23. I reckon behind those two Steven May is the third best leader at the club. Jordan Lewis 4th. and then the current co captains 5 & 6 arguably. bit of a sad state really isn't it when your best leaders aren't in formal positions.
  24. still not established at AFL level, if we get an injury we really don't have much back up
