A lot of our players eg. White, Neitz, Robertson, Yze and Johnstone (although moved to Brisbane) were reaching the end of their careers. Inadequate recruiting over previous years also stated to catch up with us. There were many factors which contributed to the demise.

Not a bad side....It all fell apart after that and would not have even remotely foreseen the nightmare years that were to come.

Craig Cameron resigned from Richmond earlier in year and was General Manager, not recruiter.

Terlich and Matt Jones both first year players came 3rd and 4th respectively in our B & F at pick 68 & 52. Coming 3rd in their B & F doesn't make him a good player or justify their huge outlay.

We should get much more than a token end of first round draft pick. This a club who with an easy draw only won 2 games and a percentage a little over 50% Supporters are dropping off us at an alarming rate. Several of my group have lost interest and no longer go. In 3 years we won't have a Club if this continues. The Club is undergoing a massive rebuild on and off the field. We need all the help we can get!

His ability to take a contested mark is about minus 5. There were times last week which he was in a great position to take a grab, but was just brushed aside. Whether there is also a lack of confidence in his play am unsure. Would keep him if he wants to stay, but not on big money.

Am an MCC member but purchase Redleg membership as well each year. Will renew again next year. Seems new CEO and president have told it the way it is. Happy that the AFL at this stage are looking over all our appointments as we have messed up for such a long a period of time. Despite all of this I always live in hope.

If he wants to go let him go. You just can't hold on to a player that is only half interested, he certainly gives you that impression.

Both have been found wanting when tried in the seniors.

Jeff as president would also be very divisive, have his own views and stick to them regardless. Give interim CEO Peter Jackson the time to clean up the mess without interference,

Jeff has no passion for Melbourne whatsoever. Loves the publicity and without hesitation merge the club or a move interstate. Wake up!!

Admire your sentiments. On our performances this year the AFL would feel very justified in giving us such weak games. Tragically it's also a case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.

Everyone needs to move on.....This is round 1 not round 22. Oh sure they were woeful. You can wallow yourself in self pity or concentrate to rectify a pitiful performance next week. My support is for Mark Neeld and the players atleast till the end of the year. Make an assessment then where they are at, not over 1 game.

Wish him well, but not sorry to see him go. Want players who are fully committed to the MFC. Hasn't provided us with much since his first year. Club has spent much time and effort into him, but its time to move on.
