I hear if you can train yourself to say that at the start (or end of) every sentence you utter then you are guaranteed a commentary job at Channel 7 with a weekly seat at the Talking Footy table.

Yes with the caveat that Carlton throw in their 2018 first round draft pick. *fingers crossed*

Jason Taylor was from Collingwood so this is a good thing... right? Right??

I will never drop off the Dees. Its more about perspective. I hate it when we lose and the rush I get when we win is huge. A few years ago, someone posted on D’land that they wouldn’t want us to thrash teams every week as it would get boring. My response was I would love to win big every week whilst the opposition supporters had to sit there in stony silence as we dismantled them. Needless to say I have enjoyed 6 out of the last 7 weeks immensely. I want the ultimate rush. I want a Premiership. And I want us to destroy every other team along the way. However, to have so much invested in something you have no control over is a precarious state to be in.

My wife can’t believe how much I have emotionally invested in a football game. After 4 decades I’m not sure I can break the cycle.

Especially as the only perks to the base wage would be a half-used BIC lighter and the opportunity to participate in some questionable boudoir photography. -

He’s taking a “scattergun approach” to writing articles. -

Goodwin said at he start of the year that we would have our ups and downs this season. We’ve had the dizzying highs (Adelaide, Carlton, GC, Essendon) and the terrifying lows (Hawthorn, Richmond) so next should be the creamy middles. I’m ok with that (as long as we win) -
AFLX will solve this problem... and as the reigning Premiers we are prime to capitalise. ?

Plus he is only 22 (I think) so it’s like a 4 year rewind.

What I have noticed about Fritsch is that he seems to have a great awareness when taking a mark to know if he is right to turn around and play on. Really helps in opening up the field in front.

Has the clip been posted anywhere please?

My quads are killing me today from jumping out of my seat celebrating 25 goals. Will need them to do that a every week so that I can build up my conditioning.

It’s “Nathan Buckley Syndrome”. When you’re the only good player playing a lone hand in a [censored] team you’ll always get a few votes so that the media pundits can still get them on their show.
-
What I liked is that we kept kicking them while they were down, which is a concept Carlton are of course familiar with.

Where’s the vomit emoji? ? Oh good.... there it is.

I think we can safely say that Essendon ruined any chance of “discretion” being applied in the testing regime - interstate or otherwise.

It’s designed to be dismantled at a moments notice when the tip-off call comes. The servers go straight into a shredder.

The media news program for MFC in C64 format: 10 Melbourne can’t be trusted 20 Hogan wants to go to/will be poached by WA club 30 Training camp cancellation 40 Young gun puts off contract talks 50 Melbourne can win the flag 60 Melbourne are top/bottom in the following obscure statistic that we just made up 70 GOTO 10 RUN

Fair play to BT who when shown the footage from behind the goals on Talking Footy admitted that he was wrong and apologised. Wayne Carey also asked the question why a strike to the throat wasn’t worthy of a sanction. I await the retractions of other buttheads like Matthew Lloyd but won’t hold my breath.

Observe the umpire explaining to Carlisle (with hand gesture confirming) that he struck Hogan in the throat.
-
I’ll reserve my judgement until I see the incident from the umpires point of view.

I’m anti-Tim Watson.
