Four games in now and i am beginning to dampen my expectations. The pace of the games so far, has, to date been frenetic, but it was good footy today, or most of it. The season is long, very long, and is not away from us yet. Track and Spencer today were very good. My take of us at the moment is we are going alright, have not copped a beating and we have good players to come in and stabilize things when things really get started. I go back to what i said about how i think we are going to be surprised at the end of the season as to who is and isn't in the Team. Oh and just a word about the commentators. Someone said this before but i love it "unrepresentative swill"

I wonder if this season we will see much more rotation of the the younger players than ever.I think this would be a main strategy of Goody's, one which i would favour strongly. This is something that could be put to plan much more easily when it is complimented by the early wins, which in turn builds the team's momentum and confidence. So, even if we win this week, which i hope we do,we could possibly see Weidemann going back. Could be wrong , but we will see.

Having lived in Bridport St for a time, guess i got a soft spot for South so forgive me if i mention their down time sometimes.They were saviours to a lot of the "have nots" in those days and their players and ex players were always in circulation around the traps, happily....

Track is the most important bloke in our forward line at the moment, and thank c they haven't figured it out yet.He gets the ball and the power cost goes up by 20% while he has got it in his hand. My opinion based on instinct, gut feeling and b's##t.

I'm not liking the way some people are talking about this bloke as though he is just a fill in. give him a chance, as he has hardly played regularly and he needs all the encouragement he can get. I have coached a little and i always believed in encouraging all players. More often than not they were the ones who bloomed.

This game so important for continued momentum even though we are off a "pointy" loss. Another season defining game that will be being watched by a lot of other Teams for weaknesses in the middle etc. Must continue to experiment and be, with our picks, hardness personified.

Was anyone watching with binoculars the three quarter time break of Geelong's in our game with them. The reason i am interested is because Fox does not show even a glimpse of any three quarter time break duration anywhere, and i am wondering why? Just on a completely related matter, they were exceptionally good and fast and rejuvenated in that last quarter, what with their two best players on the mettle after a torrid three previous quarters. Water is a wonderful fillip....

There is no doubt in my mind that we will see the same amount of endeavour from Spencer as we have seen from Max, however i am a little worried about the leadership that we have had the benefit of with Max this year particularly, not being the same. Hopefully there will be many wise words for our new number 1 ruckman who i will get behind straight away. He is physical and smart, and does look the part....

If we take TWSNBN's doctor as the yardstick it could not be beyond the realms to speculate no injury at all to these players. Could this be true. Who turned up to training with a recording device and then had to put it in an orifice to not get caught. Stay tuned.....
