  1. I would be pretty sure that's what we will do, it will depend on where that pick is and what Frawley does but it will be a genuine mid or KPP.
  2. Thanks 'Pennant', that's a good wrap up and he sounds like a really interesting prospect. Will have a look out for him.
  3. With Col it was the things he couldn't do that always concerned me, a big part of it was him blazing away without any awareness of what was around him. Does Petracca have good awareness around the contest? does he give the ball off and find good options? I know you watch a bit of footy 'Pennant' and trust your opinions. I will be looking forward to watching him in action. I don't think we are settled there either although ahead of the teams you mention. If someone like McCartin was available at our pick I think we should take him. I think he is more likely to go at pick one though and I sure hope we are not there.
  4. Need to have a good look at him to make sure we're not getting another Silvia but on a glimpse he shows a lot of promise.
  5. I thought that was what the thread was about. Yes it was poor today and Frawley was the biggest offender, he did it a few times and should know better. Dawes does it too much and Salem got caught out today but he is just learning the caper. For senior players in the leadership group it is unforgivable.
  6. Don't know much about Petracca 'Chaser' but would he be a bit like LeCras, a half forward who can run through the middle or is he developing as a legitimate mid.
  7. Haven't had a good look at him yet, but by the sound of what others have written it looks like he might be moving up the order quickly especially if he can show he can play as a mid with his size.
  8. We know they're 'Knightmares' comments, just funny that's all. Maybe he was taking the p...out of Kevin Sheehan with these and that one in particular. I always find the comparisons a bit off the mark.It will be interesting to see how these guys stack up as the year goes on. I really liked the look of McCartin last year and it appears he's now being seen as a potential no.1. A lot of water to go under the bridge yet and who knows what picks we will have, maybe not as high as we first thought and that's a good thing.
  9. That's the one 'Machsy', nail on head. boomer Harvey and Sandilands.
  10. Good report 'Pennant', thanks.
  11. I see it pretty much the same 'Machsy' unless he is exceptional, Rioli exceptional with a bigger tank and great hamstrings. Sitting on the fence about trading out at the moment, depends where we finish. Would have loved McCartin with Hogan but winning beats a number one draft pick so I will take that. Do we factor in the chances of Stretch later in the draft and Lovett in the following draft? Wouldn't mind adding some tall talent to the list.
  12. Sam who??? This was seriously a dumb call by someone I've never heard of and hope never to hear from again. Condemn him to the society pages.
  13. You out there Damien???
  14. Wouldn't be surprised, a lot will hang on the 18's carnival but he really is a genuine forward.
  15. If you're talking about McCartin then you haven't seen him play. The only thing he has in common with Fyfe is he, well Fyfe is a great footballer, McCartin may be one.
  16. McCartin is a pure forward.
  17. McCartin has a bit of plugger Lockett about him, with Hogan who has a bit of Carey. Could a forward line work with Plugger and the Duck?
  18. No need to tag him at the moment, just go where the ball is and he will be there. He needs to expand his game to be more damaging around play and then if he starts racking up and using touches well the opposition will consider him. A bit more experience and hopefully he will start doing what Haneberry is doing.
  19. Either him or Aish would be my bet. ...be interesting to see how Scharenberg comes up, the kid can play and I was surprised GWS didn't go with him given they have a surplus of small medium mids. Maybe they didn't like the chances with the foot injury. Whilst I think the above, I like your story better. I think I will adopt that one.
  20. There's a premiership team called Hawthorn who have a lot of players who always turn on their left. If you've ever watched Josh Gibson try and kick on his right it is one of the funniest things in football. Most players only go one way and their coaches encourage it. Tyson does have a get out on his right and has used it but will naturally go to his strong foot as all AFL players except Sam Mitchell do and as Sam Blease thinks he can.
  21. That's a pretty good call. I here that he's a bit of a perfectionist and hates missing targets. He will get much better as time moves on, his improvement in all aspects of his game so far this year has been good and he will only get better.
