  1. Liam Ryan on multiple occasions...
  2. Haven't seen him play a minute but if he is more outside in junior footy then I wouldn't touch him. The draft is littered with great junior outside mids who don't make it in the big time. We know better that most...Morton, Toumpas to name a couple that come to mind.
  3. I know it won't be a popular call but I would prefer Cerra. Huge upside, complete package. Won't cost as much at the moment and could form part of the Hogan trade. Love his overhead marking which makes him more dangerous in my humble opinion. Get in his ear and convince Freo that he wants back home after his next contract.
  4. Yep, called that one a bit early 'Jibroni'... Thank goodness they turned it around. Great effort by WC and a great coaching display by Simpson. His match ups were spot on as they were last week against us...
  5. He's a class act 'chook'...pity he has to coach Coliingwood. Taking the time to console the cheer squad members before the game is the measure of the man.
  6. That's why the list turnover 'big'...it was time to move a few on.
  7. All that really matters is that they're there. They win today then they've beaten the top 2 teams (after home & away) in consecutive weeks & would be worthy winners.
  8. He looked gone for all money early in the year but really turned it around. All credit to him...
  9. Nah...' @Mach5' mail is usually pretty good... He doesn't play that game. If he can't say more then that's fair enough by me. You lose a good source if you burn them. We get some great info on here if you know who to look for and on what subjects.
  10. On things WA trust 'Pennant'...I'm sure it's more than just a few late nights.
  11. I expected them to not make the 8 so their 3 big recruits performed exactly as I expected them to. For a front running team to add 2 more front runners plus another problem child to their list seemed a dumb strategy from the outset.
  12. I think 4 to 5 may be too many 'Red', there is some good analysis on this. Longer term it might be ok but could push us back a bit in 2019. Port went through big changes this year and struggled, admittedly the quality wasn't what it could be. Collingwood a couple of years back were in the same boat, they stabilised this year and are getting a result. WC have been very stable for a while with minimal player movement. The Tigers have stabilised after a period of instability.
  13. I agree but it's probably more to do with stability in our best 22. So far apart from Hogan being mentioned we don't look like losing those players. Love Vanders but he's fringe best 22, Kent hasn't played a lot and the others were past their use by. I'm not sure that cleaning out the bottom half of the list will have a lot of effect on team chemistry. Adding more than 2 or 3 to the top half of the list could cause problems.
  14. He's a much better footballer than these guys...
  15. Much better player than Kent but will be interesting to see how he is valued. but with GC happy to let him go...who knows where the cards will fall.
  16. Can play...he was really good early in his career. Half back or wing with a bit of class. Forget about the Kelly's of this world, this is exactly the type of trading we need to do.
  17. Why not, it's worked well for them????
  18. Yeah there was actually talk about Cerra wanting to return home before he signed his contract like there was talk before McGovern signed. If we make him a good offer why would he not want to come home and play under a great coach in a premiership contender? What would your thinking be? Play under Goodwin/play under Lyon? Play in Melbourne where I come from, be home with family and friends with a potential great side or stay with cellar dwellers on the other side of the country? He is definitely in the discussion I would think. To give up a player like Hogan then we must get back maximum value.
  19. I think we should more than ask the question...it would be Cerra or bust. I hope we're in his ear now. If they want Hogan they have to pay overs.
  20. Is this something you know 'dazzle'? Maybe in a swap that involved another player? I think Billings is very talented but has been underwhelming at the Saints, it's these type of players I would be looking at if we think we can turn them around.
  21. If true it's very petty. Love her or hate her she is a major media player in football. The club needs to be bigger than this...
  22. @Pennant St Dee, how do you rate Freo's young key defender. Is is Pearce? and is he worth part of the deal? If the story is correct I would be looking at a player plus...a pick or maybe 2 players. We're in the so called window and don't need picks at the moment unless we can on trade them for needs.
  23. Unfortunately if Denham has reported it, then it's likely to be on the money... We're not talking Brad Hardy here, like him or not Denham is a serious journalist and has runs on the board.
  24. Why? I'm not so certain that Brayshaw is what we need by the way... But, back to your point. Hogan is worth a lot to Freo and to us. If we're going to give him up we will need substantial compensation.
