  1. eh? quoting me on things from yesterday? I am guessing you are waiting for a truck.
  2. People to stop bit$hing about other peoples opinions on DL
  3. Need small players with good kicks and tackling abilities with some pace. For both forward and back pockets now with Bartram gone. Our small backmen stocks are quite limited at the moment.
  4. Would love Towers, doubt he ll last though.
  5. Did you also show the same faith to Juice Newton or Bate? Wouldn't be very fair if you hadn't
  6. Sad to see him go I think our small backmen stocks are running thin.
  7. Pick number aside. They are both ferocious players who are similar weight/height. They both tackle aggressively and are good overhead with moderate disposal skills. As Og Seed said, it is a long bow but I think Tynan is heavily under rated on this forum. Even as a forward he would be quite damaging I think. We did get him for a bargain apparently at a pick around 50, he was expected to go in the 30's. Howe went in the 30's.
  8. Wines comes off to me as a similar player to Tynan to a degree. Does anyone else see it? For that reason I would prefer O Rourke (Not because I think Tynan is bad but because I think he could develop into a Wines type player himself)
  9. Its a thread about training....pictures of (Looking skinnier then last year) Watts training came up...i discussed Watts as others also did. Enough of that, anyone have any updates on Evans? I think he'll be a smokey to perform exceptionally next year.
  10. I do not think the popular opinion of Watts is that his kick ass and is going to be an AA next year. But carry on...
  11. As a matter of fact he had an opinion on my comment. Not me on his. I am excited over many players such as Hogan, Viney, Trengove, and Evans. Watts I am not so excited about and people like to get their panties all tied up in a knot because of it. As simple as it is, i do no think he has lived up to his #1 pick status. And yes I know he did not ask for that status, BP should have not been so [censored] at recruiting. Watts now plays on half-back. A position that we have how many players pushing to make the team? Strauss, Dunn, Mcdonald, Macdonald, Garland, Gillies, Davis, Seller.... The guy will be lucky if he is not dropped to Casey in 2013 with so many players competing for those positions.
  12. Negative spin or different opinion to yours? How about you learn to live with it or you [censored] off? Its no skin off my back. If you want to settle and say good things about Watts then go ahead but as far as I am concerned he has not nearly performed well enough to warrant him being taken at #1 over his 4 years so far. We have been ladder dwellers for half a decade.
  13. Firstly they aren't reasons, they are statements. Secondly who gives a fu$k about spelling and grammar on a public forum. I sure don't. If that upsets you maybe you should refrain from reading them.
  14. A. His had 4 seasons already. He should already be a very good player for us. B. His a #1 draft pick, he should be a super star for us. Like the Goddards, Riewoldts, NikNats and Murphys
  15. We seem to have an abudance of tall backmen and a lack of small backmen...
  16. Anyone else find that post with a heap of pictures of him smiling kinda creepy?
  17. anyone know how deep into our warchest we went? As in, will we have a war-chest next year? Thomas could be a good pickup.
  18. Yes but last year our forward line main hope consisted of Green, Jurrah, Petterd and Watts now it consists of Clark, Dawes, Byrnes and Howe Midfield was Moloney, Bate and Gysberts Now its Viney, Wines(?), Grimes and Sylvia
  19. Watts Sylvia Garland Hogan Byrnes Gawn Evans Tapscott Dunn/Strauss Nicho (Hey, someone has to play the small backmen) Chris Dawes Mitch Clark Jack Viney Jeremy Howe Tommy Mac Nathan Jones Chip Frawley Wines/Toumpas Dom Barry The two Jacks Sam Blease
  20. Settle down, no need to go nit picking word by word
  21. thinking about it more I would be happy with Wines. Sure we need more outside spread but we can go for that in next years draft, where we hopefully will have pick 6 - 7. Take out the inside mids, KPP and we may be able to snare the best or 2nd best outside mid in the draft. Then we can start our serious push for the 8 Also with Wines and Viney growing up together they will have chemistry in the square. Chemistry is a priceless attribute and we also know that with them their together it would be near impossible for other clubs to try and pry either of them away with $$$ over the years.
  22. It is a fair contribution. I recall not reading anything about people saying things about my motives. Care to elaborate or provide a specific example to what you just said? At risk of derailing I want to say please don't make speculative posts, leave that to CW.
