  1. I Agree. It would be nice to see him turn into the new Cameron Ling. As I said love the way he goes about it but really needs to clean his disposal up. If only the rest of the team had his desire with their skillset it would be a new MFC. Who knows we may even see it this year hopefully.
  2. As you say... Time will tell. Keep wearing your hat.
  3. Ok they dangled the carrot. But as I said I think it was a bit over the top to say a big contract. He got offered more money hardly big? Rookies are on $40k. And McKenzie sums his self up just as I have from my first post. "Im not blessed with great pace or unreal skills, but like a lot of fellas, I enjoy the physical contest." Couldnt agree with him more and as I said I think his disposal is terrible as does Malthouse and many more and nothing will change my opinion until he proves it. The end.
  4. Exactly my point. I actually heard Malthouse say this myself on SEN later in the year and agreed with him fully. Obviously some people on Demonland think they have better opinions than someone of this calibre. I think this is a bit over the top. To my understanding Adelaide said they would take Jordie if we didnt retain him. I am a fan but I just think he has terrible disposal and always looks for the handball. But hey thats my opinion, Malthouse has his and people on here have theres.
  5. I love the way McKenzie goes about his footy but geez he has terrible disposal - Im tipping he may struggle to get a game next year if he doesnt clean it up. As for the rest of our picks - maybe Magner and Williams are ones to look out for.
  6. Craig Smoker (4 goals on debut??) and Ben Beams.....
  7. Excellent reply.
  8. With the best draw in the league next year plus playing GC and GWS we should get a few more wins than what people think. ....Unless the players get burnout....
  9. I see it all! At least we are on the same page. Its great to see Neil Craig has been hired to throw footballs at players. Im very happy about that too...Hipster style!
  10. Well if you understood what I was saying then why write a reply? As for allowing more angles...Only you know the answer to that one. I wouldve thought that being further behind would take longer to catch up? But I dont know anything about 8ball. Maybe Jack Halligan could take the boys for training?
  11. Who didnt know the right direction? It just never happened. And I didnt say fans couldnt enjoy the article. It just didnt do much for me as Ive been involved with football clubs all of my life. Im happy for the people that enjoyed it. The end.
  12. Yes, How did we let our club get so far behind the 8ball....
  13. For me this was nothing special. It is only doing what every other club does. For those that enjoyed the article I am happy for you. Just another loud pump up the Dee's fans piece. At least we have a great Football department now and things are starting to head in the right direction.
  14. Poor Maxy, out for the whole 2012 season. Let's hope he doesn't keep getting injured in the future.
  15. Just announced on twitter: Liam Jurrah has had surgery on his wrist, albeit minor. He is expected to be back training fully with the main group mid January.
  16. RPFC Where do you get these pics from!!! Hahaha.
  17. WYL our record North, West, South or East of the MCG is poor!! B)
  18. I think I agree with the "Bailey's coaching deserves no respect" actually. Apart from tank and get games into kids I cant think of anything else positive to say about the bloke besides he was a nice guy - which is nothing to do with coaching. Prendagast did the recruiting not Bailey. Seriously look at where we are as a club and our skill level...I reckon this guy made the players worse not too mention mentally fragile with all the ridiculous moves, gameplan and floggings we had. The guy is a muppet. Dress it up. paint it, throw flowers onto it or whatever you want to analyze it but this is fact. He did more harm than good and now with a real coach let it all unfold. Im sure there will be some sooks who carry on about this post but I dont care its the weekend and its beer o'clock!
  19. I don't think I remember saying they had to right straight away Billy, I was just referring to our midfield strengthening up. Trengove, blease, grimes, , tapscott and co will all mature hopefully plus our picks next year will strengthen our midfield. Think you may have misread it mate. Anyway good times ahead and who's to say we might get another trengove, Dustin Martin or Daniel rich. In a good draft I have full faith in the recruiters.
  20. At the end of the day we are the big winners here. Next year we will get 3 gun Mids including Viney in a superdraft and maybe even 4 if no team below us bid for him!! We win, move on, karma will do it's justice here! You can't look to forward to the future until you let go of the past my nan says!
  21. The player you are probably thinking of loved a contest didn't he? Not! He's gone move on.
  22. Polled 4 votes this year apparantly...but as they say, the best player doesnt always win it...as we've seen in the Brownlow. I wonder if they have an MVP in the VFL?? That might be worth a look. And no problems at all for the report
  23. Was listening to SEN today when this guy analysed all the AFL club lists. I found it very interesting to see where clubs were at and some of the results suprised me a bit. He didnt rate North Melbourne very high at all. Champion data only applies to the senior list and doesnt include rookies. Melbournes list: Said that maybe we just want things in a hurry and that we are rebuilding(obviously). Compared us to Geelong where it took them a while to click. We are the 4th youngest behind GWS, GC, Richmond. 2nd youngest out of the established clubs behind Richmond. Melbourne has the tallest list in the AFL now. Melbourne has pumped a total of 606 games into under 25's in the last 2 years - The most in the competition. He said we have to improve our midfield as it seems a bit weak - not enough players from the midfield in the top 35% of the AFL. We have the best draw of any club in 2012, Collingwood has the worst. He talked about players to watch from every club. He said that if we needed to upgrade a rookie then James Magner is one to watch out for, he said Champion Data follwed him in the VFL and he rated No.1 in disposals, No.1 in contested footy & No.1 in clearances in the VFL for 2011. Anyway hope this interests a few people as it did me. Well worth a listen to other clubs as well. So be patient....the Dees are coming!! Slowly but surely!! Here are the links for you to look at.
