  1. There's lots to like about Colin Garland except for his kicking. He actually kicks floaters not dissimiliar to how Cale Morton used to and Gaspar also. If you watch him closely, he makes contact with the ball right on it's point (when the ball is vertical) as opposed to the sweet spot behind the point. Hence, too many up and unders. I used to do same in the shite leagues.
  2. Great get rickyt. Ugly starting position, great contact.
  3. Skuit, I defended Lucas Cook, even when he left football to manufacture T shirts. The bloke was a [censored] visionary. The football world just couldn't see it. But I digress.
  4. It is Skuit. Ignore that nasty man. Roam.
  5. You can get past this in your head Skuit.
  6. Perhaps we could contact the AFL and say that we made a mistake. What sounded like 'Toumpas' on draft night was actually 'Wines'.
  7. Hey Picket, I didn't know you weren't a fan of Tom McDonald
  8. STMJ, the thing I'll say in relation to Garland is that he's been cruelled by injury. If you remember, pre injury he was proving a revelation. He's a player who has seen the footy swept into his area in the last five years, more than some backmen see in a lifetime. I'd cut him a little slack and let him do a full pre-season.
  9. In a heartbeat BBO. O' Meara, Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Tyson, Jones, Vince..........Bail
  10. Absolutely, our first pick and Howe. It's not an overly strong draft so why not?
  11. You do have a point but, for mine, it's about the perception that we are not going to be second class citizens. Same with trading with Geelong re Clark. Probably just my frustration at where we are.
  12. Another clubs motives or politics?
  13. Maybe so Old Dee but for too long it's felt like we've invited strangers to our house and somehow we're sleeping in the spare bedroom with the shite mattress.
  14. Fitness and diet DVD's have been created out of less.
  15. If we were to trade Petracca, a 92 kg running midfielder who can take a grab forward, we truly are insane. At some point in time you have to take a punt that a bloke will be a champ. What's the point otherwise? It's akin to saying that we are aiming at being mediocre.
  16. I was saying the same thing to Machsy right before I declared him a pseudo intellectual, try hard [censored].
  17. Agree, I'm used to watching thrashings. Would just rather see them with hope of better to come.
  18. I hope not Sir Paul. I just feel it would be terrific for us to develop our own star, as much as anything to say that we can do it. We have done reasonably with Tyson but let's not be like Stkilda was when accepting Carlton's old players. I'm not saying avoid trading, but look to do it later in the draft.
  19. Very keen to hear your thoughts. Sandy got up by a point and both were judged best afield in respective teams.
  20. I'm not sold on Wright for what it's worth. McCartin plays along the jack Darling lines (based purely on the clips I've seen). I do like the look of Laverde and I am interested in the comments re Liam Duggan. There is considerable buzz re Petraccas but I think Brayshaw may have the better skill set.
  21. He's 203cm and now over 100kg.
  22. I don't think Geelong get enough free kicks at home. They should eradicate the ball up and just hand it to Selwood to start the game.
  23. It's his false modesty that I enjoy. 'That's enough about me. let's talk about you. What do you think of me?'
  24. Time will tell but there is some sentiment that it is not a brilliant draft for those sides anchored at the bottom. Bugger.
