McQueen, at the risk of sounding like Hogan's management, I'm torn. Probably because I'm sick of the club being screwed over and wanting the club to be in control rather than lead a dance (which perhaps isn't the case)

If we could be confident of his fitness (and that's no small thing) it would be sensational to have Nat Fyfe as a Dee. There's no doubt Hogan has potential but Fyfe was incredible pre injury.

    No he's not.

    Fyfe for Terlich. Straight swap.
  5. Let's just hope he can get Jesse to move more than his face currently does.
  6. I understand your sentiment DM and I want him to be a champion player for the Melbourne FC too. For starters, I just bought my daughter a Jesse Hogan badge with a view to it being relevant in 2018. However, a fair bit can go wrong and I don't subscribe to the early age comparisons (in terms of them being gospel like)
  7. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'd hope that he's half as good as Riccuito tbh (who was a great footballer and leader) Let's remember, like Petracca, he's yet to get a kick.
  8. The alternative for Wagner, I guess, would be that he's been on song. Or has been instrumental in drills. Sorry. Or he doesn't know what he's doing.
  9. Great blast from the past Beezlebub - dodgey brothers?
  10. If he does perform, what a great combo with Petracca.
  11. What about when he did a reverse pike, ball in hand, spun out of traffic twice, pirouetted, brushed his teeth and dobbed it from 70?
  12. The thing I worry about is outside speed BBO. It's been a problem for a while now and I can't see how it's been addressed. But, hey, welcome ranga.
  13. I'm probably not as sold on him as others BBO. But that's ok. Happy to be wrong. As long as we haven't managed to outsmart ourselves.
  14. So is it possible that Collingwood says don't extend yourself fully Sam and you may get through to us? It's one big conspiracy.
  15. Thank you JR. I'm hoping to make some outlandish predictions totally without merit very early in the new year. They'll be mostly based around Max King.
  16. My immediate reaction is that Collingwood is playing tricky buggers.
  17. This may be more suited to the 'differing opinions' thread - but you know what JR, this is what Demonland needs - a little self deprecation. Everyone's become a [censored] expert on this site. We should have a confession thread. I'll start: I too thought Toumpas would be good. I thought Lucas Cook would be part of the answer to our forward line problems and I was staggered Dom Barry wasn't at least a poor man's Cyril Rioli. I am now thinking Curnow could be fools gold and Weideman may be the next Pavlich. Go Dees.
  18. Parish and Weideman would be a pretty strong get for mine. My preference is Weideman over Curnow if both were available as I do have a concern that the latter could be a jack of all trades, master of none. I'm generally wrong.

Spot on summation ProDee. And he does it on a regular basis. There may well be blokes with 'higher ceilings' as the experts term it, but right now we need blokes who can get to the contest quickly, time and time again.

You weren't the only one initially excited about Jimmy WJ. I'm still a little gutted that he didn't make it with us. This bloke really hunts the ball though...reckon he's a different type of cat.
  21. Got to admit that I've done a 180 with Jake Melksham. I didn't want him at the club initially but I'm looking forward to seeing him run around and making himself a pest. And if he can play consistently like he did in 2013 we would have done well. Even if he has just short spells in the midfield (I'm assuming he will), it offers a chop out for others.
  22. So what you're saying is that you rate Clayton Oliver?
