I'm not as sold on Kalani as others, but if he comes to us I hope I'm completely surprised. Did watch him in last year's championships and was underwhelmed. However, he's a slightly built tall and will definitely take time.

When he does leave (whenever that is), he'll leave as our Premiership coach. That's not nothing. And whatever the mood now, he's a famous figure of our club

Hindsight is 20-20 vision, but yes, we should have played him.

It feels like it now. I happen to like Simon and he will always be our Premiership coach. I'd like to see him finish up but I also dislike the vitriol.

Probably the wrong forum, but I'm punch drunk. If we are looking at 2026 already, maybe Goodwin should leave now rather than end of year. Get the players (who remain) used to a different system. Rip that band aid off

Other than 'FFS kick the thing', I'm all for an ethos of sacrificing self for team on the field. Watching GWS and Hawthorn (as much as I despise them) will show even the most casual observer that they work as one. Numbers to the ball, numbers at stoppage and spread. The game is changing and we appear to be a step behind. Or three.

Have mentioned him in 'rebuild' but I'd certainly have Corey Enright in the frame for a senior coaching position if it ever came up.

No idea as to the chances, but would love to prize Anthony Caminiti from the Saints. Incredibly underrated. Mobile, dynamic and would be an upgrade on Petty. And I'd bring Corey Enright (Saints defence coach now) across with him. Smart bloke imo. Would go so far as to say he'd be a shrewd choice should we look to consider a different Senior coach.

I know it was VFL, but JVR was a mostly one grab mark and would come out and meet the ball at Casey. It's like the forward aggression has been coached out of him.

I've avoided saying it prior to tonight, but Petty isn't a player who wears an injury well. And there's often a mystery injury. Translate that how you like. Genuinely, I've had him in the gun since the 'golf with mates' interview, but he has no go in him at all. I want him gone. He's an absolute Donny Downer.

JVR doesn't want for effort. But he's playing so poorly, he may be better served playing down back during a game. May be a 'rob Peter to pay Paul' but at least it would get rid of Harry the Heartbreaker. I'm not sure I want to see him in the team again. A performance without any redeeming qualities. Does not appear to give a s h i t.

Unfortunately, we are carrying too many players. For AFL footballers, Petty and Salem are lacking in any dynamism whatsoever. Sparrow doesn't do enough and Sharpe appears to be a bust.

Petty should be dropped. Rarely have I been so disappointed in lack of effort
