  1. Bernie Vince, definitely not. In and out of the Crows side last year.Luke Parker, yes.
  2. Spot on. It's all a lark for him. Hate to say it, but I don't think he's going to make it. Too many smart players with better attitudes coming through. Happy to be wrong.
  3. Contradiction: I want to see Casey do very well but wouldn't mind if Hogan was put in mothballs until next year. Perhaps I'm being overly precious of our savior.
  4. 2014 will be considerably brighter. Very excited about the potential midfielders on offer. However, currently, Sam Blease is shiteing me to tears with his lack of impact. A number are saying don't gift Rory Taggert games but I'm pretty sure that's what we're doing here. Close to being over this bloke and I have been a big supporter of him in the past.
  5. I think you forgot serious jail time and placed in stocks in federation square
  6. No supporter on this forum can say without doubt that Hird has done the wrong thing. However, events such as the catch up with Charters at Jupiters Casino and the other choices made regarding associations ie dodgy South Yarra doctor, surely make his position ultimately untenable. I do feel for David Evans but I certainly don't feel for a coach whom I suspect believes in his own invincibility rather than the reality around him.
  7. And it couldn't happen to a nicer club. I'm bitter enough to remember Michael Long on Troy Simmonds.
  8. Is there any danger that you'll let go of the wise Buddha routine. It's like your posting from a yoga mat in Treasury Gardens.
  9. Brad Scott has managed to keep a team that should be battling for top 4 out of the finals through poor coaching. Not sure I give a rats about his opinion.
  10. D have to say, right now I think Howe is a little overrated. Takes a great specky but has unfulfilled potential written over him. Disclaimer - I thought Lucas Cook would be a star.
  11. No. Lets get the recruiting of the best young talent in the country right and watch them develop. Like BH, I'm happy to watch losses(I'm immune) but there's got to be an end game. The thought of trading a James Aish, say, for a Bernie Vince and a fringe player and watching him become a star for another club would truly sicken me. I'd have to say, I don't think it's going to happen. There's a correlation between when we get thrashed and a call to trade early picks IMO.
  12. My mistake Deeman. Apologies. I was thinking more along the line of a thread where BH has sole editing rights based on what he determines as meritorious. It just needs a name.
  13. I'd argue that just as important is the assistant coaches that come on board/ stay
  14. BH, you should start a thread for deep thinkers only.
  15. I take your point. I just think that the team could very well have completely dropped their bundle also. I didn't want him at first but am liking what I see. I wanted Roos but that is looking like too much of a saga. And that never ends well IMO.
  16. You are a deep thinker BH. There's no denying it.
  17. It's just a very good thing that you don't do that BH.
  18. I would think you could present the same argument with GWS.
  19. You only have to think of a couple of those who went before him to realize he's going ok ie Wayne Jackson
  20. That's what I meant but you were more succinct.
  21. Remedial Skills College?
  22. I really think he needs a go. He is a terrific deliverer of the ball and, like Fitzpatrick, has not had a good run under the previous coach.
  23. If that's the betting get me on North now.
  24. Am I the only one who thinks Craig has done ok? I think about where we were and there's been a vast improvement. I'm not sure what people expected.
