  1. Indeed. All wishful thinking at this stage. For all we know they may get on a roll and we end up with pick 10.
  2. Pick 1. Hawks - H. Reid Pick 2. Eagles - Curtain Pick 3. North - one of Duursma, Watson, Moir, A. Reid Pick 4. Melbourne- TBD
  3. There was nothing in the Carlton one and was rightfully thrown out. Should have been the same for us though.
  4. More comedic relief. Peter O'Farrell (Carlton): I understand the panel has had a long afternoon and long evening, so I'll seek to be brief. I like Peter. The Tribunal is now deliberating. I am now tired.
  5. Some comedic relief The jurors are now coming back from their break, which lasted around 10 minutes. I ate my schnitz wrap and chips in 7 minutes and am feeling ill Lachie Neale is being dialled. His number is 04...... Much like my Mum when I actually need to talk to her, Neale is not answering his phone. Neale has joined the Tribunal via video link. He is being introduced to everyone. He is introduced to the Tribunal secretary and replies "no worries".
  6. Gleeson states they believe his intention is to spoil the ball. Then he's allowed to contest the ball as per their rules, how is this not a massive contradiction. Surely we appeal again.
  7. That sums it up so much better than how I put it.
  8. Just another funny quip from the blog writer. Picture a narcissistic person announcing their senior job title to someone they meet as some affirmation of their authority and importance.
  9. Blog updates here. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/teams/melbourne-demons/afl-2023-jacob-van-rooyen-bump-on-charlie-ballard-tribunal-updates-live-mro-suspension-reaction-response-junior-rioli-latest-news/news-story/229fb4da012474ef78db7ce17424b3af
  10. Edit: I'll leave it to the professionals to update.
  11. The person giving updates has a sense of humour "Bradley Close is present at the hearing, but it appears he will not be giving evidence. As such, we will have to take it on face value that his name is Bradley Close." Ihle (Geelong): It was Dawson that took the tackle in the direction it went, it was Dawson that brought the two of them towards the ground, it was Dawson who lost his footy, it was Dawson who chose to hold onto the ball. Editorial summary: It was Dawson
  12. Chaplin said Rivers was sick prior to the game, could be some sort of bug running through the club at the moment.
  13. Looks like kynan brown played over the weekend, anyone know how he went?
  14. Not even a strike or high impact, taken off for precaution due to it being around the neck. No injury sustained. Surely we appeal.
  15. May as well suspend kozzie while they're at it. Carless conduct, high contact, medium impact. Fmd.
  16. Don't fully trust St Kilda yet personally but they aren't without a chance. Port have a friendly draw so definitely can't rule them out.
  17. On the top 4. Fair chance it remains like it is now. Melbourne, Brisbane, Collingwood, Geelong
  18. GWS with 4 in a row to make the doggies sweat.
  19. After the excitement of the game has worn off, this is pretty much where it sits for me. We aren't going to win easily every week and indeed we will lose maybe up to half a dozen more before the home and away season is done. Got to be happy with 4 points in a tough, contested game.
  20. Certainly weren't as condemning of Chols swinging forearm into Bowey's jaw that's for sure.
  21. The annoying thing is they'll bring in CJ and Bruest and ramp up the intensity to have good optics against good opposition. We'll still win, but it probably won't be easy.
  22. 21 wins should see us playing finals for sure.
  23. I actually didn't mind Pettys game forward tonight. Presents well up the wing and blocks well for team-mates. Would like him to hit the scoreboard of course. Having said that, he's probably more valuable for us as a defender and think Brown has more forward craft and ability to draw free kicks. Time for us to have Brown forward and Petty as the third tall defender I think.
