  1. Pretty unconvincing win. Still, they've earned top 2 and finals is a completely different ball game.
  2. Pick 4 still equates to roughly 2,000 points. So they'll need to recuperate that in addition to a future 1st if that's their intention. Not many clubs will be able to facilitate that.
  3. Deal 1 Dees: Out - 4 and 18 In - pick 2 Roos: Out - pick 2 In - pick 4 and 18 Deal 2 Dees: Out - pick 2, 24 + F1 (15-18) In - Pick 1 WC: Out - Pick 1 In - Pick 2, 24 and melb F1 Essentially a 3-way trade. Not the worst possibility, and importantly a potential option if we can't get pick 4 from the suns.
  4. Brisbane lose Melbourne win and Port win - we play Port in Adelaide Melbourne win and Port lose - we claim 2nd spot and a home final vs Lions.
  5. Pick 5 and 24. Thank you dockers, it's been fun.
  6. Good win North. Finally did something worthwhile
  7. Gold Coast with the last 3. Still 6 and half to play for 19 points. Game on
  8. Hawthorn
  9. Conspiracy theory. Afl have told North they won't give them pick 1 & 2 however will give them 2 and 3 if they win there last game as the optics aren't as bad.
  10. Hawks now imploding.
  11. Perhaps a chance..?
  12. Can always fantasise about both.
  13. If West Coast own pick 1 again, would pick 5 plus extras be enough for Reid? If we can get 4 off suns then maybe?? I'm torn about what result I want now.
  14. True, would rather the earlier pick locked in place though. Still a chance.
  15. Worst outcome unfolding for us with these two games. North likely to keep pick 1. Freo increasing their percentage on gold coast by another 1.5%. Pick 5 now most likely.
  16. North are useless. They will lose, but by a small margin and screw us out of pick 4.
  17. The dream was a comprehensive hawks win and North by the slimmest of margins. Can't see it happening now. Guess we want suns to smash north to get above freo on percentage.
  18. If they lose Parish and get Ben McKay you can gaurentee they will trade for him, especially if they get band 1 comp. No way they'll want to dilute a top 10 pick Parish is a low damage accumulator for mine that I wouldn't be paying 5 x 800k for. Maybe he's valued that way by some clubs. Perhaps I have a biased view with self interest more at heart and don't want any further dilution of the draft pool and competition for GCs pick 4. Bombers will have picks 8 and 9 and arguably better placed to get that pick.
  19. I just hope bombers don't get band 1 compo for him
  20. Corkie... he'll be fine
  21. Elliot subbed out
  22. Bombers are a bottom 4 side masquerading as a team on the cusp of finals. Have been absolutely woeful in the past month.
  23. I think it's clear that the the tall defender set up is preferred to allow May and Lever to maximise their skill set. Tomlinson has been played out of necessity to maintain that after Petty went down. Smith hasn't got fantastic footy IQ and seems to get lost in defence unless trailling a specific opponent. Obviously there is something in Tomlinson that the footy department doesn't like that potentially exposes us. @Nudge suggested it was speed off the mark and I agree that his overall athleticism can leave him exposed, particularly on transition. Keen to see what Turner can do, reads the play as well as anyone in our team at VFL level. Only concern is his overall strength in a 1v1 contest for mine and his ability to adapt to AFL pace.
