2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Thoughts on Harrison Oliver @ChaserJ? Kid impresses me every time I see him play.

2024 Marsh AFL National Championships
That's strangely specific, if they have pick 11 or 13 are they not going to take him? Edit: Apologies in advance for my smart [censored] comment

Trade Targets
Mac Andrew out of contract at end of 2025. Doubt he wants to leave gold coast but we've obviously been involved in him through his junior years. If he does want to come home there will be a spot for him down back with May nearing the end.

Steven May staging fine
Just watched the zorko hit on Tholstrup again and in disbelief (well, not really) about the commentators take on him sucking the umpires in and that he should get up. Zorko came in late with a swinging arm to the guts. I need to work out how to sync the coverage with radio commentators.

NON-MFC: Round 16
Maynard in the middle of all the fiery action https://www.afl.com.au/video/1160030 You can see it here. Not a single media person has mentioned it though. Hit in top left chest, falls like he's been winded with a gut punch and then holds his head on the ground. Not a peep from the commentators.

NON-MFC: Round 16
Theres a chance we replace the bombers in the 8 in two weeks time. Worst top 8 team currently.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs West Coast
It's a big if really. Looks like he's impact on games has dropped off but he may still be meeting his kpi's. The wings can be a hard position to play with lots of unrewarded/under recognised running. He's a first year player that's played every game which is a huge effort in itself and a credit to him. If he needed a rest, I wouldn't be opposed to giving him the week off from all levels to refresh, but that's just my opinion.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
Good to get on the winners list. Melbourne best were Laurie, Brown, Howes with Sestan having a great last quarter and Jefferson having impressive moments in a tough game for tall forwards. McAdam had some ok patches and hit the scoreboard but looked frustrated and ill disciplined for a lot of the day. Didn't notice Hunter in the second half much, injured?

Agree, inconsistent at the moment but has fantastic size and skills.

Time and time again we have free targets inside 50 but players electing to have a ping from difficult angles. Frustrating

Use of the sub
In case anyone missed it he was on the ground for a good 5 minutes before any of the commentators realised and had about 10minutes on the ground in total. Would have been nice to get him on earlier but wasn't 4 minutes as suggested.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Northern Bullants
Have to disagree re defensive pressure. He's had 7 tackles in a half so far and had a good 1minute late in that quarter where he had 5 or 6 repeat efforts scrapping at the lose ball to cause an opposition turnover. His game against the pies he had the most pressure acts of anyone on the ground despite only playing 65% game time.

Andy Moniz-Wakefield to Debut
Projecting forward, and I may perhaps be in fantasy land here, but in a few years I can see him with the tools to be a very capable midfielder. He's tough, got agility and speed, tackles well and can break lines. Give him the license to see ball get ball and he's going to win a lot of contested footy.

He'd be on the same flight as Bill and jeffo but didn't play him last week for some reason. Surely needs a full game for match fitness.

Trade Targets
Just reading the afl site and mentioned Sam Berry has put off contract talks with Adelaide until the end of the year. While no world beater he's a tough mid that loves to tackle and could be good depth or a handy player to use as a tagger since they're back in vogue. Should come relatively cheap.
