  1. It's no philmccraken though
  2. Nathan Philactides qualifies for your list.
  3. Do you want me to start you a gofundme account to raise money for a vasectomy?
  4. This is the most disturbing profile picture I have ever seen.
  5. I'm not sure people in Sydney are aware they can attend live sport. Sydney demonlanders the exception.
  6. Easy beats, maybe not, but they are going to be a bottom 8 team. Their list profile is awful with most of their best players past 30. Hurn 35, Shuey 32, Gaff 30, Darling 30, Naitanui 32, McGovern 30, Cripps 30 and an injury prone Yeo at 29. Kelly is more or less a sole hand in the midfield with Shuey playing as a 33yr old and having injury interrupted seasons 3 years running. They may remain competative with McGovern and Barass holding their backline together with a geriatric Hurn while also having the benefit of a home ground advantage. West Coast went all in for Kelly to have a shot at another flag which they are now paying the price for. They have only just started to heavily recruit youth in the past 2 seasons after years of having a poor draft hand, while their 2018, '19 and '20 drafts have given them next to no returns. Make no mistake, they are at the start if their rebuild and recruiting the likes of Hunt and Petrevski-Seaton isn't going to mitigate that.
  7. Hawks and Eagles are in for real pain next year and could challenge.
  8. Freo with double ups against Bulldogs, Sydney, Geelong, Brisbane, West Coast, Hawthorn #deathride
  9. Tanking for Reid.
  10. Casey was originally from Broome as well so I would say so.
  11. I suspect it would have been Barnett we were targeting. There were multiple articles highlighting our interest in him and we obviously felt ruck depth was a need with Verrall eventually selected in the Rookie draft. I wonder who we would have selected though if Allan happened to somehow still be available, another player we were strongly linked to.
  12. A familiar name to keep an eye out for next year is Melbourne NGA player Riak Andrew (192cm fwd), brother of Gold Coasts Mac Andrew who was taken at pick 5 in 2021. He will have to be outside pick 40 for us to have rights to him. For some reason he didn't play any NAB league games this year, does anyone here know why?
  13. My first thoughts exactly.
  14. Rookie player going back 10 years now. Dominated the EFL as a key forward kicking 80 odd goals. He contracted viral encephalitis and was hospitalised for 2 weeks during the early stages of the season. You can read more about it here if you wish. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/77853/williams-lucky-to-be-alive
  15. I wouldn't take those numbers as gospel, pretty sure they were wearing this year's training kit so it was more a size fit than anything else.
  16. Must say I did have a giggle at the tags for this thread
  17. Also would imagine F-EB will be at Casey next year.
  18. This is a strange response for mine. These kids have put their name on the radar as 17yr olds and still have a full year of growth and development from a physical and football perspective. Of course the list of "top 10" will chop and change over the course of next year. Cadman, Ginbey and Humphrey weren't on this list last year while Hayes and Lemmey were taken much later on draft night and Teal not taken at all. Still, 7 out of 10 of these listed players last year were taken in the first round and 5 in the top 10 itself. We have 3 x first rounders (1 future) and 2 x second round picks to play with which gives us the strongest draft hand we've had in years. Worth keeping track of the talent on offer in my view. Also the phrase "next year is next year" will be equally applied to the end of the 2023 season and I would put money on us attempting to trade up as high as we can with the draft capital we have.
